I ordered a RWD.

Thanks.
There is zero change. MY 24 cars are finishing production as of week 32(next week).

Same as the 4 series. Buck tooth is the non-flattering description I have heard it called.

Great - good to know. No changes hopefully means no delays.

One thing I did notice: I ordered the driver lumbar adjustment ($175) and noticed on my build that it has code 488 which is driver and passenger - that would be a nice change if true as I haven't seen any 2 series with passenger lumbar adjustment.

Yeah I read about the passenger lumbar on the ‘24. Also a matte grey trim option—wish that had been on the ‘23.

This is how I’ve been viewing the details for mine:

- Start from the My Garage page (don’t click on track my vehicle)
- Press the F12 key or right click & inspect to open developer tools
- Click on “network” —> “fetch/xhr”
- In the list under “name”, pick the one that has response code 200 & “ProdVehicleDetails” in the dataContent (when you click on preview)
- Expand the sections under ProvideVehicleDetails
- You’ll see a bunch of data, including the order status code and options

I’m not sure if this is complete / has every single option for the car or not. But I know it has more than they display on the screen.

I only checked a few for mine and it included “0ZPP” which is the premium package, so I figured it’s fine.

Here’s a link to some of the codes for options that I found online (not sure how inclusive/ up to date it is):
https://www.******.com/threads/option-code-list.3255/

And here’s a screenshot of mine:

I know that this is an older post but the F12 browser trick still works. And thanks to whomever first discovered this.

About the grill? Saw a couple of blurbs on the internet when I was looking for info on the 2024 shipping date. Normally I wouldn't have cared but I am not a fan of the trend to big grills.

Just checked the production status on mine again and it is now showing 150 - woohoo!

I am pleasantly surprised to say the least since I only gave them my deposit 2 weeks ago and my dealer told me 4 months. I am guessing that my dealer had the allocation slot already which moved me way up the line. Granted, it still could be 4 months based on what I have read here so I am not opening the champagne yet.

Delivery day!

After the wait / picking up later today. Here is my record of dates from order to today. My best advice to anyone is to ensure that the dealer has a hard date for an allocation in their system. My build week actually moved up 2 weeks from when I ordered it. But, there is a lot of slop in forecasting the time of 'ready for transport', the port stops, dispatch for delivery trucks, holidays, weekends. About a month later than my SA initially forecasted for delivery (but he's young and idealistic ) The 4 months seems to be as good as can be expected compared to some. I hope this is helpful.

Actual dates
* 3/27 Order date (scheduled for week 23)
* 5/1 Scheduled for Production
* Production Begins 5/9 and receives Vin (week 21)
* 5/19 Entering Assembly line
* Jumped steps
* Exterior Body assembly begins
* Paint booth
* 5/22 Quality Check
* Assembly in process
* 5/24 Final Assembly
* 5/28 Ready for transport
* 6/29 In Transit
* Jumped steps
* Awaiting Carrier assignment
* At the Port
* Assigne to Grand Ruby
* 7/14 Grand Ruby arrived in Baltimore
* 7/15 back to ’At the Port’
* 7/20 Dispatched to carrier / pick up
* 7/24 In Transit
* 7/25 At Dealership
* 7/26 Delivery Day!

1 day shy of 4 months.

Yeah I didn’t see codes in My Garage. Words were enough!

SA just called and my car is ready for pickup today (from the Grand Ruby). Almost 7 months to the day from order. 4 months from receiving allocation.

Good luck all!

I’m jealous. Mine went into “quality check” just a couple days after yours, sat there for 7 weeks and has now been in “final assembly” since, I think, July 12th. I knew my SA was full of it when he said it would likely be delivered in June but based on your timeline it could be October before that car arrives.

Mine is 2024 it is already in production for the Mexican market since mid may, the only change it has with the 2023 Mexican market version is the esim, and no longer able to get shadow line without M Sport Pro package (797 M wheels, red calipers, m colors seat belt), too bad because I couldn’t get the 792 M wheels that I wanted.

Here’s a question

So I’m getting my car from a state where I don’t live, and have finance through a credit union. Recently discovered that BMW Financial Services offer Select ‘balloon’ financing, but not in all states. However, my state (Tennessee) and the dealer’s are both included.

Dealer just told me that their state isn’t covered, which appears to be incorrect.

So the question: can I get BMW financing either online, or at my local dealer, INDEPENDENT from where I’m actually buying the car?

Mine took nearly three months to get through “quality check” and “final assembly”. Agonizing, especially since I don’t have a car right now. Currently sitting in “ready to transport” so it could conceivably still be a couple more months before that car arrives.

Hopefully no-one has a car on the Fremantle Highway as its on fire off the Dutch coast. Was leaving Bremerhaven and now possibly getting towed back by the sounds of it.
