Additional Vehicle Details
Status Code: 112

Status Description: Scheduled for production
The factory has scheduled production of your unique BMW.

VIN: undefined

Production Date: No production date assigned yet ( Status 150 Required )
Looks like you got all the best tracking info in your hands now Not much more (that I know of) that you can do besides this....you and I are both just sitting and waiting now. Guess I won't be the very last model year '24 built in Frozen Blue either

Prior to that, you just have the build week and production number. Most likely your scheduled build date will fall during your build week, but some people get lucky and get built a bit early. If your schedule follows mine, you should be scheduled for production and get a build date for sometime in August around 7/29.
Minor correction.
When you go to status "scheduled for production" you do not get a VIN.

You can actually go from "scheduled for production" back to "order received".

Until you get assigned a VIN all dates are speculative.

Called the dealer to inquiry. He said due to the change from 2024 to 2025 MY they are waiting for BMW to approve the available allocations and to release production numbers. They the number will be issued. No clue if he's pulling my chain or not, but don't have much of a choice except to wait and find out. I do have the build week with my name on the sheet, so I guess that's comforting at least 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just got a text from my CA that my car has been released to a carrier from the VPC so it shouldn't be long! Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Make sure to tell them not to drill the bumper if you don’t want to run a front plate. Some people also request that the car not be washed either.

For me it was the opposite, sales guy's been convincing me not to drill, as I didn't care much before he mentioned it could hurt resale value. Damn I had no idea it's such big of a deal in the bimmer world.

I took once a car unwashed and honestly it was too much work to get that sticky stuff removed from all the covered panels. And you don't see if there are actual issues with the paint if it's not washed. Feels more risky to take the car like that.

I already brought that up when I ordered the car. He said this dealer never drills the bumpers unless the owner requests it, so I'm good there. Thanks for the reminder though! I would hope most luxury car dealers wouldn't do that without asking first, but I guess you never know.

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm fine with them washing it for delivery and getting everything ready. After that I hand-wash only and I'm taking it to get PPF on the front and ceramic on the whole thing.

Not drilling holes in the front isn’t just a Bimmer thing, few people I know with various makes made sure the front was left untouched in favor of temporary options.

I am just not a fan of front plates in general. I’ve never run a front plate on any car. Ive gotten two tickets for it when living in LA for school but no other issues.

It's back up for me too, still in transit.
The Morning Menad left Altamira a little while ago going direct to NY, due on the 17th. Hopefully we are on this one.

Out of curiosity in the my BMW app is anyone else’s gallery showing a MY25 interior? A delusional part of me would assume late MY24 gets new interior but realistically seems like a software issue from their end.

Just got an update from my CA today on my '25 with the VIN and an estimated completion date of 8/8/24. Can't believe it is moving along so quickly!

No, still 2024 interior for me. But the owners manual in the Driver's Guide App is a 2025. Or at least, it shows iDrive 8.5. I had to enter the VIN of a 2023 model to get the correct manual. I too have a delusional part of me thinking "what if..." but I'm sure it's just a mistake.

Nice! I’m hoping my car is on the way to my dealer in LA. I expect it to be a three hour drive for the truck. Considering traffic and all….

I am dropping all plans to pick it up ASAP 😂
