Low 40's F and lots of sun today, after yesterday's 2.15 inch drenching rain.

The ground was dry enough to go crawling under the almost-Mighty Freightlner to change the rear diff fluid, but I wasn't successful because I couldn't break the drain plug free with my lack of strength. The fluid change can wait for a warmer day, when I can use a trolley jack to turn the breaker bar.....

We're living large here at the moment: sunny and 72°F with 28% humidity, which is my idea of perfect.

8PM update: now 68°F with 27% humidity; summer is just around the corner, I know it is!

Warm and wet for the next few days. Hopefully this will get rid of the salt so I can take my bike out for the first ride of the year.

Looks like we're going to have a rainy Easter if the forecast holds.

Easter egg hunt will have to be indoor this year for us kids.

I hope you're not unduly affected by the storm. I think you've said before that you sometimes have to pump water out of the yard after a big rainfall(?).

We're in for POP of 30-80% through next Wednesday afternoon. At least it will be warm and it will clear the pollen out of the air; two out of three isn't bad!

Yes, I have the pump set up and ready to go, thanks for the concern. The latest forecast here shows 2 2/3 inches. In other SoCal areas more rain is predicted.

Will likely be flash floods in the foothills and mudslides in the burn areas. Some already saturated areas from all the recent rains could see more homes slipping off their foundations and sliding down hillsides.

Stay safe. And at least you’re getting a good cleansing.

In the "heart of the forest", plus other obscure clues, we managed to find the annual local weekly newspaper hidden golden Easter egg (supposedly $1,500 worth of prizes, we'll see). Although in reality, finding it was priceless (in the rain)!
