Getting to my point now in the UK reviews lots of people have referred to the M135i not being the direct replacement for the M140i outgoing F20z this was the B58. Thus...there is room in the lineup for a M140i we thought but no, perhaps it is the M145i. Will no doubt be a version of the B47 with hybrid help taking it nearer 400Hp. Still transverse mounting etc as the chassis defines this. Hope that all made sense.

After all, in decades past, both the 30i and 40i monikers originated on V8 models (of 3L and 4L displacement, fittingly). And the 50i nameplate was reserved for the V12. Quote:

This is probably one reason why the F40/F44 lifecycle could be shortened as ynguldyn wrote in his November 2019 update. Maybe BMW made a mistake here by making the FAAR platform this cost-efficient. Thinking about AMG or the new Golf R with an expected 333hp |

So accordingly to my local (eu/Sweden) dealer. The M2, all versions, will not being produced after 2020/09? Not 2021/06 as stated in this thread. Can anyone verify this?

It could be possible this is what we will see in the 520e as the electric motor would boost the power to circa 200 |

Based on what I've read, the impetus for the new platform is lower costs and better packaging for electric models. I'd guess the answer is "yes". In other words, both will be available. As long as they are still making RWD M*40i 3 Series and 4 Series models (and they are), I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for the 2 Series Coupe. Now, whether the RWD model is available in all regions is a separate question. For example, the RWD M340i sedan isn't available in many countries, and I'd guess the same will hold for the upcoming RWD M440i coupe and convertible. |

I had the current generation M235 (2014), loved it. Replaced it with M340 xdrive which is amazing. New generation M235/240 with same engine will be a beast

Any one around Cambridge MA see what looked like a fully camo'd / red 3 series cruising around today?
I couldn't grab a very good pic, but I have no idea why they would bother with Camo on a 3 series now after it just came out. |
