Watching the "Design" video, and its bothering me that the curve of the bonnet and the front piece dont match and the way the light is reflective makes it look like a tacked on mismatched part. then 2 mins into the vid he says thats intentional to make it look like something was added. smh.

Looks absolutely gorgeous in Toronto Red. There are no viable alternatives left in this vehicle class, so please stop b****ing and go pre-order one.

And, I'm in my 50s and have had 9 Bimmers, including 7 Ms. Had several Mustangs (and a 944) before that. So it's most definitely NOT my first performance car.

But hey, we love in a democracy. You're entitled to say you don't like it. Just don't cast aspersions on the rest of us.
No no my guy you've got it all wrong

The new M2 isn't the old M2 CS that's the problem

Also if you really could afford three Porsches you wouldn't be looking to buy this car because the M2 is for poor or young people only
Poor people buying $60k cars? No wonder they are poor then.

It's between the G87 or G82 for me since I want a coupe. Will have to see and test drive both in person but the G87 is actually looking pretty great.

I like it. It looks mean and aggressive. The only disappointment for me is that Portimao Blue or Skyscraper Grey are not available. It would be between Toronto Red and Brooklyn Grey for me.

I was thinking of getting either G80 M3 or M340 in 18 months but now I'm more interested in this M2.

With regards to SCCA autocross, I would suspect the G87 M2 ends up in A street. The good new is that the new Yokohama Neovan Advan AD09 come in 275/35 r19 and 285/30 r20. The bad news is that the G8X M3/M4 including xDrive versions are in A street, as is the M2CS and the M2 Performance Edition. Looking forward to some driving impressions. That and seeing it with the a rear wing.

There's no winning with you I can see.

Just lose the condescending, 'know it all" attitude. Deal?

The forum will be better off as a result.

I suppose we’ll find out what happens in the real world at some point, but going by BMWs numbers the CS is slower to 60

I think the Z4M is the clear winner as BMWs sexiest car.

Owned OG M2 now M2C and will buy the G87.
What other car offers this level of performance for this price with a rear seat.

This car comes with stick, is fun to track, easy to add a roof rack and will fit a 2x4 x8' inside the car with the trunk closed (just one though).

The ass end isn't pretty, maybe the sport quad exhaust cluster will draw the eye away from the Lego corners.

So anxious to hear it. I replaced the stock exhaust with Dinan to help make the F87 sound better…it helped.

Pictures never do these cars justice.

Overall a pretty nice looking car, way better then the leak pictures.

Front is nice but not as nice and aggressive as the f87 front

Loving the side profile with the beefy wheel arches

Rear is nice but looks a tad off

Overall as a f87 m2 owner, i like it enough to consider replacing my og m2 for this new one

Honestly I LOVE it. It's better than what I imagined with the leak images.

The G80/G82 is unique and going to be viewed as a masterpiece in the future. I'm not kidding either, and I hated it originally.
I'll keep mine, grille and all. First leak I saw, I seriously said, "they're not doing that, are they?" But I never hated it. It's a master piece.
That's a damn ugly car mate!!
Not as ugly as the m2. And then catch me if you can.
I will let you kids win, go ride that warthog mate!!

And you get a M driving school day also which is awesome!

Not after today it's not!

And bmw knows it too, going to sell tons of M3s/M4s after today.
No they won't. It's still the ugliest of all.
The M2 is kinda weird but I'd take it over the peppa pig!!

Why on this video they post a slightly lower number for the weight of the European car? Actually 3769 lbs for the manual. (Check at 3:50 on the video)

The disappointing thing is that an upcoming M2 CSL will probably have around 473 horsepower and a weight around 3,700 pounds. It is probably three years away.

As you correctly stated Scully, an M2 CSL will most likely be inferior to the M4 CSL that is available right now versus an M2 CSL that’s still three years away.

I think the side profile is its best look.
Like the engine bay as well.
The front end center looks like something fell off, and the rear end is just unresolved.

I'm still holding out hope that a 3.0 CSL will bring a new manual transmission with it (that can handle more power), or if not, BMW will focus their g87 special editions on serious weight reduction instead of more power while keeping the manual.

This is still the final ICE BMW and there are years of sales ahead for special editions.

But these looks and that weight aren't the right start. Also the interior looks weird, the armrest is wider than an M5's, the shifter feels out of place and the idrive 8 doesn't work for me in a drivers car. I'll need to sit in it, but it feels disjointed in pics.
