Lawsoc, I think I’m in the same situation as you, car supposed to be w/c 7th August delivery but I don’t think it’s even on the boat yet. How did you find out about the stop sale?

It's still very early days. I've only really been on two journeys so far - From the dealer and to/from PPF.

I've not come from a similar high performance vehicle (430i) so it feels like a rocketship to me and I'm using a fraction of the power so far. Others have already commented that the power band kicks in at >3000rpm which is very true but I've not had much chance for any spirited driving given the first 100 miles was babying it from the dealer and on to PPF.

I'm hoping to learn a lot more about the car this weekend both driving and the endless options in idrive8. I've yet to find some of the niggles and nuances reported in other threads other than confirming that the manual doesn't get the digital key despite it showing in the manual and in the MyBMW app.

I really love the buckets (something I was a little nervous about) albeit I'm still working on the best ingress/egress technique!

I've not got any regrets in the slightest.

Had a demo this week in auto and wow the acceleration is very impressive, it reminded me of my V10 R8 so I was pleasantly surprised and it felt so sure footed giving lots of driver confidence - I was certainly no where near top of rev band. Had the orange 🍊 carbon buckets in my G82 and yes they are so lush you certainly feel somewhere special with them - yearh need to get in carefully as if not I think they will wear in the long term, haven’t speced them on my order, I wud of been tempted if they were offered as just a standalone option

I was sent another spoiler and there wasn't a dimple but it was still wavy and i deffo would not be sticking it onto a £65k vehicle, the quality is poor, I've got 2 to send back.

I spoke to jack and he has spoken with there manufacture and the wavy effect is due to the manufacturing process, jack agreed with myself about the quality and my findings and apparently they are now going to change the way it is manufactured, hopefully this resolves the issue, I'm not sure if all spoilers suffer with the defect, its very apparent in the sun shines.

Just spoke to the online genius and my car is at 195 still, though the ship I've been tracking docked in Southampton in the early hours of today. Is there normally a lag between the ship arriving and the car status being updated? Assuming my car is actually on that vessel.

I am in the same position. I guess they will be unloaded
over next day or so and scanned as being delivered to the docks.
Was going to contact genius tomorrow.
Please update if there is news as surely there are a few
of us waiting on this and hoping we were on that boat !

Will do. That ship is due to leave Southampton tomorrow ~1am, so you would think the cars have been offloaded at least even if not scanned yet.

Not sure if it’s just a UK thing, but has anyone found a way to turn off the speed limit bongs permanently? I think I’ve tried everything but it may be user error. Otherwise it’s a job for Bimmercode I guess.

I was informed by both BMW Uk and Dealer that the boat with my car would arrive 2 August and delivery to dealer could take 5- 10 days or so from there. Needs to be checked, clear customs be loaded to transport etc.

What ship were you tracking ? I’ve given up trying to work out what car transporter arrives at Southampton on 2 Aug which is port arrival date quoted to me by dealer and BMW UK.

Same here - I am clinging to the possibility that the DRIVEGREEN HIGHWAY was the one... no idea until status updates. Also I had been told by dealer week 29. Also was given arrival on 2nd but this did not tie in with a ship. Fingers crossed for updates for tomorrow...

Based on this info, I'm now certain my car is on the above mentioned carrier. I've worked this out from a helpful user (markm240i) on another forum, he's explained how to understand the info from the above screen:

So if you guys speak to your dealer and ask for the same screenshot under the 'Distribution' tab, you can get some answers and very quickly understand if your car is on the Drive Green Highway.

If the screenshot you get back from your dealer shows a similar read out to mine, the most important being H78..... Then that bit will match with the voyage number found here and therefore you are on the Drive Green Highway vessel.

To all those waiting, I and some others were in the same situation a few weeks back, not knowing which boat the car was on, when it might arrive, what does 195/193 mean, etc etc. With the benefit of hindsight I’d recommend not looking at it too closely, a watched pot and all that.

Either way, don’t give up hope, stick with it, it’ll arrive eventually, and man, is it worth it!
