Just ordered a barrel tuner from Redd Nobb for my brother as a christmas present. He's been talking about them, admittedly they sound interesting.

Anyone used one before on any of your rifles?

What's old is new again.

My dad was into using barrel tuners back in the '70s and '80s. I remember he had some success with them. I don't remember the specifics, so I can't say the effort and cost was worth the reward.

Considering the quality of today's barrel manufacturing, I'm not sure the tuners are necessary for a modern rifle. For example, my 10 year old off-the-shelf GAP Hospitaller .308 easily shoots .5 inch groups with factory ammo. Do you need/want better consistency than that?

Circle of life. Maybe bell bottom trousers will come in vogue again too eh? Hope not. Really hoping that was a one off that everyone truly regrets and promises not to repeat.

Yeah, there are obviously fantastic barrels out there, I suppose it comes down to whether you want to sink the cost into that, or perhaps take a slightly substandard stock barrel and tinker with it...whether you find the tinkering to be enjoyable or not.

He's already mentioned barrel tuners to me, so I know he'd be enthused to get it so that he can play around with it. I guess if he doesn't like it, he'll just take it off and find a better barrel. This is just for plinking and fun anyways, its just a RPR .22.

For tinkering, have at it. Nothing wrong with that and it might prove fruitful.

To achieve super small groups, I think there are better ways.

Like you said, " I suppose it comes down to whether you want to sink the cost into that."

I'd ask what acid trip the creator was on, but I don't think acid was invented back when this came about, so maybe what peyote trip was the inventor on?

I’m curious which barrel is dialed into the sight or is it, “aim small and miss small.”

According to the link it was chambered in 25 ACP however the barrels look larger than that.

Does anyone know of a website that will estimate the price of your firearm for resale without requiring you to purchase a subscription?

I'm considering selling one of mine tomorrow.

Sara, I don’t know of a site that offers an estimate, but what I normally do is use sites such as https://www.gunbroker.com/ and Armslist to gauge the market and go from there. The price is choose also depends if it’s a personal sell or using a local gun shop on consignment.

Yes. Similarly, go to gunsamerica.com and see what's for sale. They're pretty consistent.

After 10.5 months, Christmas came early! Picked up my Sig suppressor for my Fostech .300 pistol. She’s finally all setup and ready to go, sounds amazing with echo trigger active and suppressed haha.

Thanks. I sold it this evening.

They have a Gen 5 Glock 26 for $899.99. Get out of here. The Academy across the river has it for $569, and it’s in stock. I feel bad for people who spend that much without shopping around.

Now I want this baby. DeltaPoint Pro <3 They have it listed for $599.95. A quick google search shows it for sale online for $449.99 PLUS 10% off your order for the holiday. That's almost $200 cheaper! Are people really that desperate they can't wait for two-day shipping? These gun stores are just outrageously overpriced. I'm not a penny pincher, but come on. Be smart.

Message: Don't neglect your weapons!

Did a little maintenance today and realized the batteries were dead on my rifle optics... what kind of samurai would I be if I was caught of guard without properly working weapons!?!?

Take away is, perform regular maintenance on your tools, regardless if they're for recreation, protection or every day use.

Disclaimer before getting flamed since everyone is so sensitive nowadays; everything I use for protection in my professional field is maintained on a weekly basis. These few in the pic are purely for collection/ enthusiast/ recreation purposes. Similar to my sword collection.

I'd be more afraid of a Ducati than your gun collection. I know how to handle guns. A Ducati is way out of my league.

Was actually gifted this by a friend. I don’t know much about cross bows, but it definitely seems to pack a bunch. You better get your target in one shot though because reloading is a bitch!
