Uh you still are buying through the dealer so yeah they can still add on all that’s stuff PDC doesn’t change that. Only you saying no does

Incorrect, PDC does change that. The dealership can't charge you for items or services they can't physically perform on the car. The dealership never gets possession of the car. I just did PCD with my M240ix and I avoided additional up charges for stuff I don't want.

There are many dealerships that automatically add additional fluff when any car physically comes through the door. It is very hard to negotiate that stuff off the car, especially in this market when bargaining is a thing of the past with price at MSRP or ADM. PCD avoids this BS.

Tbh I have no idea of my bargaining position considering I'm #3 on a waiting list of 16ppl (he showed me) and I have pretty much zero leverage as a consequence.

Not sure what state you are in, Charleston could be SC, WV or TN. Either way try to get BMW Performance Center Delivery because any of those states is an easy trip to Greer, SC to pickup your new M2.

I'm in SC. I will definitely inquire. I haven't read anything on PCD but it sounds fun and a good excuse to travel to upstate in late Summer!

Here is my BMW PCD experience this past April when I picked up my G42 M240ix. It is a top notch experience.

Not everything on the backend is frivolous. I plan on keeping the M2 for a very long time. My dealership offers lifetime oil changes for about $1k. That will pay for itself dpretty quickly. I'm also going to get the longest extended warranty that is offered. I'm passing on window tint, clear bra, and sealants. Don't need tint. I will do sealants myself. And I want to do a stealth wrap which my dealer doesn't offer. But even these things are good options if you want to roll them into dealer financing.

My only point is, back end purchases from an honest dealership can be useful under the right circumstances for the right people.

Lifetime oil change for 1k? Amazing! It pays for itself in 4-5 oil changes at dealership price.

You think? Doesn't sound too great to me...

First 3 will be free under warranty...then BMW has a deal for 3 oil changes for $200 if you pay in advance. So that's 6 oil changes for $200.

+1

Yet at our centers those three prepaid oil changes are $150.

Not where I live. The M2 might be cheapest MSRP but they get us elsewhere.

I dont really want to go 10k between oil changes. I can do an oil change between each of the 3 " free oil changes. Then do 2 the next year. Every oil change (2 a year) after the 4th year is free. That's not a bad deal and I do t have to wait 10k between oil changes.

They will do oil changes when you want and not based off the car computer?

Yes, but it becomes a little tricky. When you do an oil change between the BMW recommended oil change you cannot reset the maintenance light or it will mess up the free service (3 years 36k miles). So you just do the oil change. Leave the light. With my dealership's program you can do up to 2 a year for as long as you own the car.

Having it done professionally by the aftermarket probably is not too much more money. The cool factor goes up because it's not available from the factory too. Worth considering.

Hi all!

Hope everyone is well. My first post on this forum! I've been a Mustang guy forever but I've finally made my switch to the M world with my G87 order.

I really appreciate all of your posts here! Helped me make an educated decision when finalizing my spec, dealer, etc.

Note: page 2 is cut off but only additional charge was destination + handling for $995. Don't pay over sticker!

Congrats! I did all the same but no CF package. Still did the roof and trim but I plan on DD and don't really care to much for the seats!

I'm first on my list and want the car ASAP! Lmao
