Mysterious, it's like the Iphones version of HPFP...hell for some, not an issue for others

Good lord, I went to the Michigan Ave store to pick up my phone around 11. The fucking pre order line wrapped the ENTIRE way around the block from the front of the entrance, they said it would be a 3-5 hour wait. I said screw it and left after half an hour, I'm not getting heat stroke for a phone. I'll go back around 8 and if I don't get my phone today then oh well.

LOL right? I mean I guess I get the "gotta be the first to have it" mentality but never really subscribed to it personally, in a few weeks everyone will just have it anyway, it's not like it's on sale or something

i did it online but it was super easy and seamless. If you ordered through att, just find the email with your order# and activation#. Then on the iphone box grab your ICCID# (Sim#) and IMEI # and plug it in on AT&T's activation website. My phone was activated within 2..3mins.

Got mine delivered, synced it, and it was operational after that. My AT&T account even had the new phone listed

When you are in safari and add a link to your home page, on your home page when you click the newly created shortcut, does it open up safari and take you to the page? Mine doesnt do anything.

Yea I tested it with 2 phones and get the same result. Definitely a widespread issue. Those that say they don't have the problem probably aren't holding it in a way to make it happen. I couldn't replicate it for awhile until I figured out where I need to hold the device. seems like if you hold the device up on the higher part (fingers covering the volume/silent buttons), the bars will drop. With that said, I haven't had any reception problems while on a call.

Anyone with a corporate discount (FAN account) pick up an Iphone 4 at the apple store? If so, did you have to remove your FAN account before going in?

I had a reservation for a phone, went to the Apple store to pick it up, only to discover the reservation line ran around the block twice and wasn't moving at all. How they f'd this up so badly I'll never know. I get that there are long lines, but I stood there for an hour and didn't move more than 5 feet. I gave up and left. All of the Apple store employees are a bunch of tweeny millenial dipshit hipsters. I called up the Apple store 800# and ordered a phone, it'll ship by July 14. Beats standing in line under the hot sun for 7 hours.

FAN accounts need to do it at ATT.

Is that the new procedure? When i got my 3G, i was asked to call att to remove the discount, purchase the phone at the apple store, then re-add the discount.
