oh, cool. I'm glad a car that was built two weeks after mine is already at the port. Makes perfect sense. Last edited by td1439; 04-26-2024 at 11:09 AM.. |

Just for fun I decided to call and see what they said. For me, it hasn't been assigned to a vessel yet (so maybe RIP at getting onto tomorrow's ship.) After it's at the port in California up to Seattle, she estimated 1-2 weeks.
Edit: While on the call, I learned the right way to say Port Hueneme: why-KNEE-me. Last edited by Blazer9547; 04-26-2024 at 05:35 PM.. |

Already moved to In Transit today. It's been assigned to the Morning Crown, which BMW Genius told me will arrive at Port Galveston tomorrow! I'm so freaking excited. Might be looking at a mid May delivery.

Folks I think Glovis Sun is our best bet… I will go insane if it isn’t lol. Arrives in Veracruz on May 2 and from what I see it’s coming from Brunswick so should be heading back up the east coast to deliver our cars!!!

Still shows RFT. The app still shows 'Final Assembly'. lol.
The tracker idea is great, but if they don't update it for accuracy, it only leads to frustration. The Genius rep who replied to my (rather direct) email was understanding. Yeah here's hoping! |

Thanks, same for me. I emailed my salesman Saturday and he said mine was at the port waiting for a vessel, and gave a rough estimate of a month for delivery. But the trackers still show Ready for Transport and Final Assembly like yours.

If we're not on the Cepheus Leader (and mine also still shows RFT), then the next ship that I see from NYK is the Asteria Leader which is a full month from now to Port Hueneme. https://www.nykroro.com/customer/sch...|USNTD||VESSEL Of course BMW may use more than just NYK, I have no idea. So, big grain of salt and all that. Honestly I've just accepted it's gonna end up being a 6 month deal and I'll be happy to have it by mid/late summer. |

Mine just changed to In Transit on the website and Ready For Transport on the app this morning. So maybe there’s hope for a quicker arrival? How about yours Blazer?

Looks like this schedule indicates another option for us, if we didn't get on the Cepheus Leader.
https://www.nykroro.com/wp-content/u...W-3.pdf#page=1 Looks like the Mercury Leader departs Lazaro Cardenas May 9th and arrives Port Hueneme May 15th, and the Astoria Leader Blazer mentioned sails May 22nd arriving at Port Hueneme on May 28th. Actually, according to BMW Genius, I'm on the Cepheus Leader!
"Our records indicate that your 2024 BMW M240i xDrive Coupé MX is currently on a vessel, making its way to the USA! Your vehicle was placed on the vessel "Cepheus Leader" on 4/28/2024 with an estimated voyage duration of 5 days. We're currently expecting your vehicle to arrive at the port in the USA on 5/2/2024." Woohoo! |

Glad to see the West Coaster's cars are moving along and on the way to them. I hope the orders going up the East coast will be following soon. I'll chime in here now with my "progress" through the waiting period: Feb 8 - Placed order Feb 13 - Order Confirmed Feb 26 - Production number confirmed March 6 - VIN released March 21 - Assembly in progress March 22 - Final Assembly April 12 - Ready for Transport 21 days on Final Assembly......18 on Ready for Transport so far. All dates are from my laptop. My phone app is still showing Final Assembly! Frustration has been the word of the day for the last few months. If there is a system to track an order, update it, and keep it accurate. This is worse than tracking a package through the UPS system. I called the Genius yesterday because I've been watching the posts here and noticing my order falling behind, and she told me it should move "any day now". She was very nice, and read what showed on her screen. None of us can understand how different cars can sit in one position so long, and another takes 1 or 2 days to pass through and move to the next station. I'm just glad that this car is not needed at a certain time to replace a wreck, or end of lease contract. Still frustrating though. |

If you look at RightYouAreKen's timeline, he didn't receive a change to "In Transit" until today and didn't get confirmation that his car was on a ship until today. The ship his car is on left the port two days ago. A tracking system that inaccurate is bound to leave people feeling frustrated, especially when some steps are skipped for some cars and not for others. Then combine that with multiple examples of cars being built later but being put on ships earlier, it's definitely stressful. The email I sent to Genius on Sunday was pretty direct about my confusion in regards to this, and while the rep was nice enough, all I received back was a vague reply about "different factors" and whatnot. I am hopeful that all of us with East Coast port of entry cars make it onto Glovis Sun - even though we might not know about it until a couple of days after it departs. |
