Ha! I came here to see if anyone else noticed this. I needed to make sure I wasn’t crazy, and that it really was way ahead of schedule.

Just flipped to "In Transit" this morning. based on timing, I suspect the car made it on the Glovis Sun (loaded in Altamira) but will have to confirm with Genius

Edit: Just got off the phone with Genius. My M2 was loaded on the Glovis Sun on 5/8 (presumably at Altamira). Thank God. Last edited by bibd; 05-10-2024 at 09:32 AM.. |

Great news guys! So glad most folks seem to be on the boat on their way finally.
Took my car out for it's first "road trip" out to the Columbia at Vantage WA today. This car is such a great road tripper, yet pop it into sport on the way back and it's awesome in the twisties. Up to 450 miles on it, so still breaking in. |

Uhhh, I just had to ask my CA why our cars are skipping Bayonne and going to Rhode Damn Island? I’ll keep y’all posted.
UPDATE: It’s going to Rhode Island, then Long Island (maybe Brooklyn?), then Bayonne on the way back down. He says he’s still confident that it’ll in in Bayonne on the 20th (👎🏼 and we set an appointment for the 23rd to take possession. I have asked him, if the 23rd falls through, can I get a loaner, as my current car will be gone. He’s going to ‘ask his manager’ which I assume is a no lol. |

Glovis Sun left Brunswick about 3:00pm ET today, and vesselfinder isn't showing it's next destination as of now. Maybe it will update later.
I talked to my CA today, and she could only tell me that my car will be taken off the ship in MD on the 20th. I asked her if it was at Baltimore or Sparrows Point and she couldn't tell me. vesselfinder.com hasn't been showing any ships expected into Sparrows Point each time I look. GS isn't showing as an expected ship in Baltimore through the 26th. I'm guessing you shouldn't place any bets on those lists shown on that website. How are you guys seeing that the ship is skipping ports. I can't find any schedules for these ships. |

So somehow the tracking site switched and now shows Glovis Sun going to NYC. Hopefully stays that way. |

It was surprising to see it going directly to NY from Brunswick for sure. I was assuming it would stop in Baltimore since that's how it's seemed to work for other ships going up the East Coast. I am wondering if there's such a huge backlog of customers in NY/New England (my dealership alone is waiting on 15-20 cars from Mexico) that they decided to go there first? Not sure how much pull BMW has with Glovis in terms of making changes to the shipping route.

If you went In Transit on April 30, that probably means you were on the Cepheus Leader with RightYouAreKen. But Cepheus Leader only made stops in Southern California. So either you’re on another ship that just happened to leave Lazaro Cardenas on the same day, or you’re waiting for a train to crawl its way across the continent. Your CA probably has a better idea than my wild speculation.

EDIT: vesselfinder lists its next stop as Davisville (RI) tomorrow - meaning it should be leaving NY soon and all cars should be unloaded and at the VPC. Last edited by td1439; 05-18-2024 at 12:35 PM.. |

Yeah, hopefully. I have 13 days left on my current car's inspection sticker, lol. Does anyone know if the NJ VPC operates on the weekends? I've seen a number of people say in various places that they only run M-F, but if you look up the VDC in Google Maps, it says "Open 24 hours" |
