With regard to HAM signing so quickly, I was talking about MB replacing HAM with RUS to SAVE MONEY only. I can't see HAM being a #2.

RUS is currently 17th in a Williams but much more talented than BOT. He proved that last year when HAM had Covid.

In that case I feel for AR or any other team for that matter. Each team deserves a driver who is balls to the walls and ready to earn his drive every race.

It sucks for AR to be in a situation where they have to settle for anyone who treats his drive as a hobby.

Swap with RUS makes all the sense in the world. Send him to Williams with a backpack of technical info + his experience. If he's RUS driver quality, then he'll get them good points. Concludes his F1 career on a high note with Williams revitalization, or maybe even earns a drive back up the grid.

AR didn't settle, they wanted him. Kimi really only fell off THIS year. He was one hell of a wing man for a younger VET who got #1 treatment with Ferrari sabotaging him every step of the way. True he is no ALO but most of his talent was wasted with a POS McLaren that failed him consistently and a fading Ferrari. But, for the hell of it compare him to ALO:

Wins: ALO 32, RAI 21
Podiums: ALO 97, RAI 103
Poles: ALO 22, RAI 18

Kimi was more of a firecracker than a slow steady burn. People forget how blinding fast Kimi was back in the day. However, He also never had the HIGH motivation of a Schumacher, Alonzo or Hamilton but not many do. (Yes, I know I'm leaving out some young guns but they haven't proven themselves quite yet.)

Kimi is a drunk and was always in it for the fun. "Old School", I like that but understand why some don't

At least he didn't do a James Hunt and split after 1 championship :-(

I appreciate your loyalty to Kimi, but I think it is a consensus among F1 Drivers, Team Managers, and Principals that ALO is head and shoulders above Kimi. I've read MS and HAM himself give accolades to ALO's driving prowess. I have yet to see an article saying Kimi is one of the all time F1 greats. Most importantly, their heads up record at Ferrari speaks for themselves. Yes, Ferrari chooses a #1 Driver, the faster one. You gave the perfect reason why Kimi is not an elite driver, he does not have the motivation to be one, so case is closed.

Noteworthy that ALO is not on the list. I think it is safe to say he is not, and has not been labelled a Dirty Driver. Russell's battle with him was beautiful to watch.

Speaking about Russell, and yes this is way too early, but assuming he will get the MERC seat next year, I can't wait to see how he will perform, both with the car and against HAM.
