https://dealernfa.com/product-category/machine-guns/hk/ The good news is over the last 30-40 years ALL machineguns have appreciated in value and they still are. Can't guarantee you aren't getting in at the top but I do not believe you are. |

Thank you - I didn't even know of that site.
That pricing though - ouch. 100% agree - giggle switch even with current ammo prices would be sheer joy. Found a site (not gunbroker - that place is a joke) that has the SP5 for about retail. Only thing is the number of upgrades needed after (pic rail, stock, to name a few) that just crank the cost up... |

Yeah price has sky rocketed. I bought my first MP5 with a giggle switch and all the rails already on it in 2001. $8000. Wish I had bought every one I could have found. Oh well. But the wait for it was eternity. I bought it one week prior to 9/11. And of course part of the process is an FBI background check and they were kind of busy chasing down other stuff for a while.
I sold that one when I had a health scare and didn't want to leave it for my wife to figure out what was what and how to get the money back. Felt better and decided I had to have one again. Paid $43k through Ruben at that link for one a year ago and already it's worth more. Mine has the registered sear which is always more desirable than the registered receivers he currently has available. He would probably buy it back for $43K. If you buy from that site I linked two primary factors kick in. First, he is absolutely trustworthy and you get a seriously good condition gun that will work out of the box. He reconditions them all before sale. It's the Cadillac ride of buying NFA. Second - you pay premium prices. LOL. And yeah, ammo is higher (I think I used to buy 9mm for about $125 per 1000 rounds) and in general anything you wanted was available and delivered fast. Ahhhh the good old days. Still, might look back in 5 years and think "why didn't I get one then". Never know. They sure do out perform my stock portfolio. |

That is just impressive - I enjoyed reading your post this morning. Thank you.
I'm going to look more closely at that site (and on an unrelated note, look up the price of hocking blood, semen, etc...) |

It's a hot commodity as the new service pistol for Army and Marine Corp, so they're flying off the shelves due to military recreational shooters and of course collectors, as well showing interest over the past couple years since it's been fielded to replace the Barretta M9.

I recently stumbled across a Glock 19 vs. M18 comparison on YouTube. Discovered M18 has a manual safety |

Let me know how you like the M18. I keep debating between the M17 and M18. They’re in stock at an online LE distributor for $569. I have my own FFL so it’ll be a quick ship. Lol

Plus, I'm a big believer in proficiency with our weapons is important and that can only be accomplished through training. The US military had to settle on a weapon that as an actual safety selector switch as opposed to the civilian market, where the consumer can choose what safety mechanism works best for them. I'm sure that's why Glock lost out during the test run. While I'll always support anyone who wears the uniform... I can tell you that not all service members are warriors. Especially in the early stages of their service obligations. That means some may need enhanced mechanical safety measures to avoid mistakes on ranges or in the field. That's why we can't have nice things, lol. (JK)

Speaking of not having nice things, my agency was in bed with Smith & Wesson. I had to endure their trash for 25 years Now I only buy the good $hit |

I was just thinking, started my career carrying a Smith & Wesson 5906 and it went down hill from there.
Smith & Wesson 4046 (awful double action only) Smith & Wesson 99 (emergence early retirement due to numerous malfunctions) Smith & Wesson (unknown piece of trash as a stop gap) Smith & Wesson M&P 40 Couldn't find a pic of the developmental 4046 (that's how rare it is) The ONLY Smith & Wesson I'll ever trust is my 686 wheel gun. It's a non-fluted pimp gun |

….and yeah, no safeties here and only weapons that can fire with no magazine inserted. P.S. Thanks for your service. I've got 15-ish to go. |
