Congrats brother! She looks gorgeous. Do you guys get your plates immediately on delivery? I only got my permanent plates today…been driving on paper temp plates since I took delivery on the 6th. Also looks like you rebadged it already? Looks slick.

Yeah the dealers get new plates here in MA and have them on the car when you pick it up. Didn't rebadge per se; my CA has some detail guys who removed the xDrive and 230i badges when the car came in, which I'm super happy with. Love just having the BMW roundel on the back deck.

How'd you end up fairing? My car was picked up from Baltimore last night around 9pm, and finally made it to my dealer around 3:30 today. Picked her up around 6pm, and we're doing financing on Wednesday due to time constraints.

After 8 long months of waiting, I finally have the car. Can't express how happy I am!

Congrats on the delivery! Mine is still at the port :/ It’s interesting that yours was trucked yesterday. My CA said they don’t normally deliver them from the VDC on Saturdays. I’m hoping any day next week at this point…

I think it got delivered on Saturday solely because it was put on the truck Friday night. My dealership has also consistently received truck loads on Saturdays, but usually from the South Carolina plant. Hoping you take delivery soon man. Need more 2 series owners in VA!

Wow, 8 months!! Do you what extended that timeline so much? Were there comparable spec cars that arrived at the dealership during that timeline?

Haha, I saw 8 months but that's starting from the time I decided on an M240i to replace my Genesis G70. Actual time from order placement to delivery was just under 5 months; I placed my order mid-January but had to wait for my dealer to get an allocation.

I have yet to see an M240i xDrive that matches my build sheet exactly just sitting on a lot. Fully loaded with the exception of ZTK, Vernasca leather seats, and the M interior illumination.

So this morning I went to check my cars status on the bmw website (been at “production begins” for a week now) and the generated image reverted my wheels to the grey without the red calipers. However, the build info still shows it as the 791M with red calipers. Has anyone seen this before? It’s always shown the generated image as the right configuration until today.

BTW mine is a little ahead of schedule.. went to entering assembly line 5/31. Just went into final assembly today. =)

Yeah, the site and the app are both showing the wrong wheels. The app was way behind the site on the timeline but today it just updated ahead of the site so I'd give it a look if you haven't already.

I have the same wheels and calipers, and the website showed the wrong thing (the grey wheels with normal calipers) until the car hit Final Assembly, I think. As long as the build info is correct, you're fine.

You will come to see that the tracker is more than a little unreliable - but at least the phone app is worse, lol

Go back about 10 or 12 pages or so, and read along to see how a group of us all tracked our movements. It will all be very clear how this works after reading the past.
