(my actual car is a Mineral white G20, love it but looking for something new)

For the EU guys, 3 years ago when I ordered my G20 https://bimmer.work/ was working for production tracking with a VIN code, don't know if you already know it.
Life is too short to drive a boring car, so if it were my money I would go for one of the blues over the grey. Zandvoort will be very unique on the 240 for sure!

How much is the cf spoiler installed price when ordered through BMW? I've seen some quotes of $600ish for the part but does that include install when ordered that way? I'm sure I can order online cheaper after the fact but not sure I trust myself to pull the old one off without scratching stuff.

I ordered the Portimao with 792M (2025).... did not get Brooklyn since we have it in X3 M40i. I feel that Zandvoort belongs on M2 only, but that's just my opinion.

It's ca 600€ installed, but list price of the piece alone'd be 865€.
In here there are some heavy taxes on powerful cars, so you can get some nice discounts (they are hard to sell)

Placed an order for a MY25 M240i on 7/22. I do have a production number but still on step 1 order received “making space in the production schedule”

I believe production starts in mid-late August. I was told I placed one of the first orders and should have car in 10-14 weeks by my dealer.

What are others hearing about delivery times?

I was just told the dealership now has an allocation, mine will be the first 2025 they receive, and that they will send me more information once production begins. I'm kind of trying not to be a pest but curious is there some number I could be asking for now that would help me track myself even before production begins? Seems like you guys know what's going on before production starts. I'm assuming I won't get a VIN until production begins.

I guess none of that helps me get the car any faster but it is kind of fun to follow along.

Yes, they should be able to give you the production number which you can use to track it on the BMW website (but not in the app, you need a VIN to be able to track it in the app).

If they have allocation, they should be able to give you a production number which you can track the progress yourself on BMW site. The VIN will be available couple of weeks after that.

First post here! I ordered my MY25 on 22 June. Just checked with BMW Genius online chat and my current order status is 155 - assembly finish/ quality check. This was updated on the 05.08.2024. Sounds like it was one of the first to be built! Not expected to be delivered to the UK until 07 October however.

That's interesting. My dealerships inventory still shows that they have 2 MY2024 cars in production. I wouldn't think they would be working on both model years at same time? I am going to receive their first 2025 but I do not have a production date yet. Still showing 'Order Received' in myBMW. I sent an email to genie to see if I can get a production week. I gave them my build a couple weeks ago before they had an official allocation for 2025. I got a production number last week. I wasn't expecting an August build anyways but I still want to know when LOL.

Have you tried using the live chat function on the BMW website? If you log into your myBMW account on website and then live chat to a BMW genius and give them your order number they can give you the latest status. I’ve read on a few forums that the status you get from the live chat is usually more up to date than what your dealer will give you. FWIW I definitely know I’ve ordered the LCI and live chat tells me my car is built so maybe your dealers information isn’t quite up to date?

After mine left Veracruz on 16th July I think it has now arrived in Southampton. I don't know for certain as I don't know what ship it's on, I think it's the Hamburg Highway but it could be the Hawaiian Highway but that docks tomorrow.

I've got handover arranged for 29th August.

That was fast. Your whole process was pretty fast, but that part especially.

The car was already ordered by my dealership but I was still able to spec everything out. I had no frame of reference of what the timeline should be, but it’s good to hear that you think it went fast! Dealer just gave me a 3-4 month ETA when I ordered.

I’ll update again when it arrives at the dealership. ☺️

How’d you find the name of the ship?

I had to work it out from the shipping schedules, the genius and dealer wouldn't tell me for data protection reasons.

Mine landed in the UK today.

Was it on a K-Line RORO ship?

I was able to call the BMW genius phone number and the representative gave me the name of the ship. From there I was able to use one of those freight ship tracking websites.
