Ah makes sense why mine isn’t due until October then. The next K-Line ship doesn’t depart Veracruz until 31 August and it’s also the Hamburg Highway. The Hawaiian Highway sails the next day so I imagine it’s on one of them if it’s going through quality check now.

Aug 2 - Received Production number from dealer and see it in myBMW as Order Received
Aug 9 - myBMW status changed to production scheduled

You might time the ships better than I did. My car was built 6th June but just missed a ship so I had to wait for the next one, overall I'm tracking 4 months from order to delivery, if I'd ordered a week before then I would have had my car a couple of weeks ago.

I had no idea that these were built in Mexico when I ordered, ordering was a rash decision though, I just fell in love with the thunder night paint. 9 Days and counting to handover!

I’ve messaged BMW Genius for my weekly update and I’m at order status “165 - transit from Mexico to Bremerhaven. This was updated on the 8th of August 2024. This means your new car has now been built and is in the process of being transferred to our logistics partners for delivery.”

You car is likely to be on the Hamburg Highway or Hawaiian Highway. They arrive at the end of august in Veracruz and then get to Southampton at around 20th September. You should be in your new car by October.

When did you hit “ready for transport” back in Mexico? Any recollection. Mine has been in that status (165?) for about 8 days now but I think I just missed an east coast boat.

I was on the Neptune Barcelona. I think it left Veracruz around 8/1. Have you called genius?

Yeah, last time I called them they also said "ready for transport" and weren't sure when a ship would be in.

Mine went from ready to transport to on the boat. I think they skipped the couple steps in between (awaiting carrier and dispatched).

Genius gave the same info, ready for transport but then had the boat, date and it’s ETA

Mine was handed over to me today. 3 months from order to delivery is great, the longest part was the shipping but it’s a long way from Mexico to the uk.

Had mine handed over yesterday too, absoutely love it!! My order to delivery even more mad than yours! Ordered on 6th June and handover yesterday, factory order. Lucked out on the boats it seems!

Looks awesome mate, mine was handed over dirty as I told them to leave it and so far I’ve driven it 20m onto a trailer and my detailer took it away. Fingers crossed I’ll get it properly on Saturday, you’ll have run yours in by then!

Ugh, really? That's really poor. Williams have been pretty good to be fair this time around. They were awful when I got my last car.

Yeah I told them not to wash or prep it in any way as I didn't want them putting swirls into the paintwork.

Overall my dealer has supplied a car but it was just like buying a loaf of bread, there was no sense of occasion from them. They didn't even give me a keyring or anything, they keys were clipped together with a plastic tag. Despite being the 1st car I've bought from them they didn't introduce the service department or even give me a business card.

They were very keen to tell me about the survey I will receive and kept going on about I need to give them 10/10 and 5 stars, they went on about that a lot.
