You are not "scheduled for production" so there is no build week. There may be an approximate build week, but even when you are scheduled for production that can change. Nothing is in stone until they pull a chassis and assign you a VIN. How do I know? Because I went through a full year of delays on an i4.

The time between deposit and allocation will always vary, its all about your timing and how many people are ahead of you. The dealership could have allocations coming in a few days or a few months |

Here’s their response… Production # doesn't generate until the car is actually in production and starts being built. I get the production # and VIN at the same time. Your clock has already started. That's why we quote build times 4-6 months, which were still in the parameters for. As soon as I see it flipped, I will send you the VIN/production #. And now I read folks getting their #’s walking out the door on day 1?! Classic lol |

Any idea why Capricornus Leader is seemingly adrift off the coast of San Diego? I've seen lots of carriers come and go at Port Hueneme, as well as some anchored right off the coast there waiting their turn, but ours is just kind'a wandering around off of north county SD despite being late. |

Next comes 112 "Scheduled for Production", then 150. When you hit 150 your build locks and you get your VIN. I don't know why dealers lie like this. This happened to me with my first G87. The dealer lied and said I had an allocation and made me leave a $500 deposit. When I asked them to provide me the Vehicle Inquirt Report with the Production Number, there was no response. You should have seen the look on their faces when I showed up a week and a half later in the exact same M2 they took my money for and didn't have an allocation. Even this time around, when I went in on 8/19 to order the car, I didn't leave a deposit because they had no production number. I went back on 8/24 and they had an allocation they got that Thursday. We were able to load my build in and I left with a Vehicle Inquiry Report, my car was status 111 Ordwr Received, and the process was under way. Sorry they're jerking you around. If they can't provide you with a Vehicle Inquiry Report, I'd start reaching out to other dealerships. Depending what kind of volume this dealer does and what their M sales look like, you could be waiting months for an allocation. |

I know you'd prefer to work locally I have an M2 allocation available We could get the order done today and we'd work in free shipping to you if that would help us workout a deal. I work at BMW of west st Louis. I also have a m2 on the ground available it's brooklyn gray and manual. Doing 3k off the instock one. I'd have the custom order here within 3 months.

Genius just told me yesterday that my voodoo build was delayed to week 9 2025 from week 7 2025. I'll probably be getting the car in April at this rate after getting an allocation in August

This is good info. I got my order number the day before Thanksgiving for TP. This gives me an idea of when I may get my car…Christmas of 2026 lol.
