Thanks, my friend. It‘s really been a while (due to work, family, etc.). But now, as I am about to get rid of [enter a BMW competitor’s V8 estate ], I am back...

No, it is likely not true. BMW confirmed with German media that 2WD is most likely available for M3 and M4 (besides 4WD and 4WD sport modes).

530e G31 not yet selectable in dealer system and therefore no possible order.
I was told SOP should be 11/2020 They're advertising them on TV here a lot, demand on our dealership is high but can't be sold now. Strange. 330e G21 in backorder, high demand, german delivery late Dec or Jan 21 |

As noted in the first post of this thread, the G87 M2 is tentatively expected for model year 2023 with production beginning 12/2022.

Elsewhere in the forum there has been a lot of discussion about the 523hp i4 flagship model, and resident insider SCOTT has hinted on more than one occasion that this could receive M branding. You can search or browse the i4 forum to read more of the details known so far about that vehicle. |

Yes, I should have been specific about that.
That said, there was news a few months ago that BMW is planning to phase out the use of the "M Performance Vehicle" branding. Still though, the tiered model structure will remain, and the "i4 M" (or whatever it may be named) will essentially be to the standard i4 what the M440i is to the the standard 4 Series. And, indeed, that means that, for this generation at least, there will be no electric equivalent of the proper M4 (so no wide-body i4 with M4 suspension components, for example). Come next generation though, could it happen? We shall see. |

I am aware of i4 and iNext and those just announced 5 series ev etc. But i should have nited i was referring any ither models than those.
I was referring to those M models etc. Could you point me to that scott post, could not find it. I am sceptical of pure M models to be released anytime soon, but one can hope. |
