For anyone here who watches Joe Achilles, he's touring Aus and is doing a Sydney meet on the November 9th at BMW Rushcutters. Tickets are $20. Link is on his YouTube channel.

I was given a VIN by my dealer and have got details from VIN decoder.
Looks like I have a production date of 30th October.
Not sure how that translates into a finished build but I might be looking at an end of Jan delivery to Sydney is my guess.

That would be a good turnaround. We've all had varying wait times after production. Mine will be 9 months after build once I get it, some others have waited up to 6 months after the production date. It really depends on which journey from Mexico it goes on.

Oh Lex you're killing me. 6 to 9 months after build. It's so painful.
I can't watch any more videos.

So it's gone back to be rectified so I will have to keep the anticipation in check for a little bit longer.

297 days after I put my order in, I finally got delivery yesterday! This is my fist BMW, and I have to say they make show out of it, was impressed….

Being first presented the car, the side profile was so beautiful, then I went around to the front, and to my horror, I saw the euro plate bracket on the car! My dealer ALSO stuffed up. So I’m bringing my car in next week to replace the bumper and fix the flow design plinth, not going to settle for a patch job.

My dealer was obviously pretty flustered and had the audacity to say:” won’t be out of pocket for you”. I told him it’s more like I require some compensation. We’ll see what happens…

Luckily in my case my agent picked up on the error prior to the agreed delivery day so it was all sorted once I finally got to pick the car up 2 weeks later. I didn't need to come back in - which would be a pain. Mine was delivered to the dealer with it on, so it was a pre-dilvery error and not a direct fault from my dealer.

With the extra delay, I ended up waiting 292 days from order to delivery.

I ordered a white M2 in September, at the time I was torn between the Alpine white and Brooklyn Grey....three weeks ago a Brooklyn Grey (dealership inventory) became available, attended and viewed car in the flesh...I was driving it 4 days later. Thankfully the dealership permitted me to transfer my deposit across to the car purchased. It appears that several cars are currently available for immediate delivery across several Sydney dealerships....sick of waiting talk to your dealership you never know until you ask.

I was tempted, but street parking in Rushcutters Bay, Paddington is a nightmare at the best of times. Had BMW of Sydney allowed onsite parking I would have most certainly attended. For the record, I find Joe A a very informative aficionado of performance cars and on the face of his YouTube channel a very grounded and likeable man.

hey all,

looks like the vessel has docked (and left) Melbourne.

Does anyone know whether the DP WORLD Cybersecurity breach is going to affect the delivery of Vehicles from the port ?

It shouldn't. Mirrat (the Melbourne roro vehicle terminal) is separate from the container terminal.

I'm exposed to a lot of container shipments and vehicle imports and I didn't hear anything about vehicles being affected today. Only containers.

So we should get our cars in a couple of weeks. Hopefully less.

Hopefully yours will clear customs quickly.

Mine arrived at Port Kembla on the 2nd November. As far as I know the whole of the Fidelio shipment is still in quarantine at port Kembla. All of those vehicles have to be inspected and cleaned as necessary.

The dealer has confirmed that there is no transit damage to any of their vehicles in that shipment, phew! But the dealer has no idea how long it will take to clear quarantine.

Oh no! That is not good news! The wait must be killing you. Keep us up to date on how you go. I'm guessing there are a few of us with cars on that boat.

hi guys, I am hearing that all M cars in AU do not have complimentary break in service.

also, that the break in period is 2,000km, how much did you guys pay for that?

How much are you all paying for your 3 year or 5 year service package ?

Hi mate, I have my car booked in for the 2k service next Tuesday 21/11/23, I will answer your questions after service. In the meantime, if anyone can assist with this info it would be greatly appreciated.

G87 M2 with Sunroof

I have had every dealer tell me I can't order with a sunroof and then today on Punt Road, Melbourne I see a Zandvoort Blue one with a sunroof - WTF!
I was going to order a M4 Convertible but would still prefer the smaller M2 with a sunroof...anyone else been able to order with a sunroof?
Have had the OG M2 and now have the M2 Competition all with a sunroof that I use almost daily.

Any chance you were able to get a picture? I also got told that sunroof wasn't an option here in AU. Would have gone with the sunroof if it was an option.
