Just the fucking around. I am busy, wife, kids, work, wife, health, wife etc. I don't need the hassle for $40 bucks. Just make it happen.

Jeeeeezus!!! We have "free" cable with our HOA and I watch it maybe once or twice a year just so I feel like I'm getting my monies worth. No cable in NC.

Wife must be a hassle since you listed her thrice lol.

Ok, I'm confused, there are sites readily available w a brief googling containing lots of selections from the various providers all in one place.

YouTube TV, inclusive of HBO and SHO = $113/mo.
Netflix ($16) and Hulu ($18) commerical free when we have them, which is not all the time.

So, $113 to $147 per mo.

We also get Paramount+ and Peacock "free" as a result of other subscriptions and have Amazon Prime for shipping, so Prime Video also "free". By "free" I mean you are paying for it somehow whether using it or not.

We were at around $200/mo. with DirecTV before dumping it many years ago now. Fucking DirecTV fees for HD when everything is HD and fees for each box in the house plus steep annual increases. Almost like they wanted to lose customers.

YouTube TV also lets us use the same subscription in NC when we are there, so no need for a separate account there.

Turn on TV, change channel (with guide) find show. Not trying to figure out which particular venue I need to go to, then which show group and personage, then finally see what's on: Worth about $250 to me.

I have Smoke and Apple and Paramount and Netflix and . . . and I still can't find shows I want to watch. If I search, somehow the stick isn't smart enough to offer me links to the various shows/providers I already have an account with, it's trying to get me to sign up for ANOTHER service.

I also find it pain to have to jump from APP to APP to find a show I want to watch. So for me and my wife, we like the simplicity of having cable TV. My kids only watch YouTube so they don't have cable tv in their rooms.

Can't tolerate commercials... Stupid streaming services are sneaking them in now. It's just a matter of time before it's just as bad as cable and more expensive. 40-60% of the time spent watching stupid commercials. I used to only see them when I watch sports. And don't get me started on gambling commercials.

Many smart tv systems will aggregate stuff from the various services you connect to it. I know my Sony which I think has Google TV or whatever it's called does that. I believe Amazon Firestick does that also. I can do a voice search for a show or movie and it will list all the services it's available on and the cost if any.

That being said it doesn't show everything so I still go into apps directly sometimes if I'm looking for totally new stuff.

On normal UK tv I'm getting pi$$ed off when watching some of the older series like Van der Valk when the programme starts with a notice saying something like 'The following programme contains talk and actions from a previous time which may be offensive to some'.
I can't see a similar warning on modern programmes that contain a warning for nimby words and actions for the old school viewers, these 'notice' snowflakes should FO home to do some knitting .

Clarkson’s Farm 3 makes me smile, the banter between Jeremy and Kaleb is hilarious, what more could you ask from a place called Didley Squat Farm?

We enjoyed it but the ending was a bit tough. Life on the farm I guess. But it also stops quite abruptly and I understand Prime has cancelled it because Jeremy might have said something to hurt Magen Markel's feelings.

Or maybe they are doing “California Rivera” with Harry and Meaghan…she will definitely be the villain in that short lived series.

Not sure if you watched the episodes released today but they released half a season on May 3rd and the rest today.

Started watching Parish. Reviews aren’t positive but first episode kept my interest. We’ll see how it goes. Only 6 episodes.

It's not bad. It's not great but it's not bad.

Finished Fallout, pleasantly surprised by this show, i'd say best new show since Last Of Us.

I like Giancarlo from BB but trying to stay interested in Parish is HARD.
The writing is bad and full of clichés, and the supposed bad guy crime family isn't believable.
Recently enjoyed Shogun, The Gentlemen, 3 Body Problem, and loved Loudermilk. The roast of Tom Brady was
pretty funny, Nikki Glaser and Jeff Ross absolutely slayed the place.

I find Hulu to have the most consistent original content being pumped out often enough and I really enjoy the shows.
HBO is great, but start counting the years if you are waiting for new content.

Netflix has some gems but they are hidden under so much filler garbage.

They will never recapture the magic of season 1. I don't like the new director at all.
