I have a motor bike licence though I hadn't ridden for ages, but like you trying out a friends bike recently and it was like I never left, it stays with you.

I'm going back to the scene or the crime here. Not shocking that I'm no fan of Tesla but this is way bigger than that. Using lawfare to extract revenge on another party who you perceive is not on your team sends a very loud and bad message. The collapse of many a civilization has been preceded by the loss or subversion of the rule of law.

The ruling against Musk’s $55 billion compensation sets a bad precedent
02/12/24
A cornerstone of any performance pay plan is trust, specifically the assurance that conditions and expectations won’t change after the fact. But Delaware Chancery Court Chief Judge Kathaleen St. J. McCormick appears to challenge this principle in her 200-page ruling. Musk has a 30-day window to appeal.
According to Tesla’s SEC filing, “Elon will receive no guaranteed compensation of any kind — no salary, no cash bonuses, and no equity that vests by the passage of time. Instead, Elon’s only compensation will be a 100 percent at-risk performance award, ensuring compensation only if Tesla and all stockholders perform exceptionally well.”
Against the odds, most of the targets were met. As of January 2024, Tesla’s market cap neared $600 billion, having peaked at $1.2 trillion in 2021. 2023 annual revenues totaled $97 billion, with $20 billion in EBITDA. With these results, Musk was poised to receive the majority of the $55 billion performance pay package.
Their effectiveness, however, hinges on trust in the stability of rules and the commitment that goalposts won’t shift if someone defies the odds.

Anyone using a public charger at night is an idiot. Some might call it thinning the herd but I rather they just stopped being stupid. I don't even go to gas stations at night.

UAW's hidden victory: Job security in the electric car era
Nov 2, 2023
One of the United Auto Workers' biggest victories in its six-week strike against Detroit carmakers was protection for autoworkers affected by the historic shift to electric vehicles (EVs).
For President Bozo, it's also an opportunity to argue that his climate agenda can indeed produce "good union jobs" and that huge government subsidies for EVs will help rebuild U.S. manufacturing.
Under political pressure from a group of U.S. senators, Ultium Cells in August agreed to an interim wage hike to about $20 an hour while contract negotiations continued.

Yes folks the UAW Union and politicians of the D variety can get you EV jobs that pay less than McDonalds. Ain't America wonderful.

Even EV owners are facing these kinds of issues and they still want an EV. If they are not idiot, I don't know what they are

Ongoing problems with public chargers:

*Non-working chargers

*Chargers who demand you use their App instead of your credit card

*Chargers that don’t stay active when you leave so you come back 4 hours later and haven’t a drop of new electricity

*Chargers where the line of cars is out of the parking lot because all the other chargers in town have something wrong with them.

Even as a guy, I will totally avoid charging my EV in the middle of night in no where (good thing I am not a EV owner) The risk of getting jumped is just sky high

Lawless Meets Driverless: Mob Vandalizes and Torches Self-Driving Waymo Taxi in San Francisco
Techspot reports that on Saturday night around 9:00 p.m., a Waymo self-driving Jaguar I-Pace was surrounded and attacked by a crowd while navigating through Chinatown in San Francisco. According to eyewitness reports, the incident started when there was a minor traffic jam and someone jumped on the hood of the stationary robotaxi and smashed the windshield.
This prompted others to join in and vandalize the vehicle using skateboards and other objects to break the windows. The car was then covered in graffiti as fireworks were thrown inside, setting the empty taxi ablaze.

'They' are trying to whip Musk into proper thinking and ideologies.
It ain't gonna work. I'll tip my hat to him for that.

Lots of people have bought Teslas and if it suits their needs than good for them. I wonder how many will give honest feedback about the ownership experience?
