I miss my Mustang where I could just buy a jack rail that went along the entire side of the car so you could jack from anywhere.,,

I really wanted to get the quickjack and nearly did for my exhaust system install, but I couldn’t justify having to by the 6000 to fit the G80, and it being too long for any other car. The frames are pretty costly too, as I looked into the option of buying the smaller frames for other cars.

Just came across this photo on garage journal, guy I know over there had borrowed a set and he made a comment on them and someone posted their G21 on them. I did not think of lifting mine that way so I am going to try it out.

I may reconsider a built in lift down the road, but the Quick Jacks have been a solid investment for the last ~5yrs or so for me. I still have a floor jack and a pair of stands when I don’t need to fully lift the car off the ground.
Just used to do an oil change on the 36. |

For my friends XM3, I needed to turn them sideways...but still worked.

The extenders wont work for a G80. Turning sideways is an issue if you want to do exhaust things, access to the center of the car, etc.

I got my Quickjack 5000TL and assembled it last weekend. Works great. The key to assembly is reading the directions completely before actually building the thing. Bleeding the lines is critical. Quickjack provides a thread sealant because apparently many people don't know how to use PTFE thread tape the right way. I used PTFE thread tape and had no issues. Quickjack says you can use it if that's your preference. I watched so many Quickjack build videos and fails and saw so many people not following the directions. They put sealant on threads QJ specifically says not to, they overwrap the threads in PTFE, they way overtighten the fittings, they don't position the jacks correctly for bleeding, etc.
I got the 5000TL so I could lift my Cayman (2940lbs), M235 (3400lbs), my wife's 2020 4runner (4600lbs), son's 2020 Mazda 3 (3200lbs), my daughter's 2015 Outback (3700lbs), and possibly a single cab/2WD 2024 F150 XL (5.0 V8; 4100lbs), if I replace my M235. The Outback is the only vehicle it won't fit. I'll need to get the extension bars as the Outback jack points are a couple of inches too wide. When not in use, I push the Quickjacks together and park over them with my Cayman.

Question for those with a Quickjack. Mine automatically goes up once plugged in. I don’t hit a button. If I hold down it goes down but as soon as you let go it goes up again unless you unplug it. Any thoughts?

sounds like a wiring problem with the control unit assuming you checked the button isn't stuck. definitely not supposed to do that. if it's new i'd get them to replace it. if not open it up and see what's going on in there.

Not normal. My guess is that whatever electrically indicates to the control unit that 'Up' is pressed is stuck. There is likely some cheap electrical component that gave up the ghost and results in the voltage (or ground) associated with 'Up' being constantly sent to the controller.
