No
Are we positive on that?
100%. The only real difference beyond material finish/pattern is 2dr with rear seat access or 4dr without rear seat access.

Good that they are going to offer them in the M2 though. The carbon buckets are on of my favorite things about my M3, glad more people will get to enjoy them.
I'm guessing they're going to continue and only offer black interior on the M2, so these seats make sense. G80 has actual interior color options, so these don't make as much sense. Try to imagine the M color seat trim with orange/blue seats.

So are the G8x buckets?
What if that wasn't the original idea? For instance, a 4 way power/manual version which would necessitate a different option code that had not been decrypted by ynguldyn yet?

Looks more like "standard" bucket seats. Those are pretty much gloss black, even when zoomed in. Maybe full CF will be an option?

Oh hi, you called?

I just missed somehow the moment they got added. Consider them confirmed.

Makes you wonder with so many similarities in options, what's the point in buying the M4?

Is there a laser light option?

Seeing this pic, I'm really not sold on the caption "G87 seats revealed". Looks more like someone paid alot of money to get his own look for some G82 seats in his F87 M2.

Weird setup for sure. The interior looks like F87 M2 to me.

Shoot, you guys are correct; that is an LCI F87 interior… 🤔

And so the plot thickens..

That's not what it says…

"not the original seats"

Interesting inference since something does stand out like a sore thumb.
Clearly meaning upgrade

Perhaps. However as the G87 is platform shared from the G80/2/3 anyway and it's been confirmed to contain most of the options I see no reason why BMW wouldn't be offering them.

95.4% certain.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, that the M2 will get optional carbon buckets.

I hope not either. I believe they've already said they'll offer individual paint, so would be really odd to limit the interior to just black.

I could not possibly imagine driving a manual transmission car with those seats. They are the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in, and I could not get my left foot to the clutch or dead pedal with the way that seat channels my leg.

I hope if BMW makes a CSL version of this car with a 6 spd, they rethink this.

Amazing seats, but since I daily my car, pretty sure I would pass (though I haven't had any seat time in them).
