I was looking at getting a M3C next year but this coupe design and platform is enticing.
I wonder what the next M2C or CS will bring to the table in terms of driving enjoyment. The M3C looks terrible, so I might just hold on and skip to the next M2C or CS.
Difficult but good problem to have.

Wow 😳 that's an excellent new. Hopefully it will end up close to that and i could see trading in my 2017 M4 Comp for this. What a relief that they don't put the ugly grill of the newer models coming out 😜

I believe the article referred to the competition only being available in Europe. I hope that is inaccurate or misinterpreted wording.

This is missing the joined kidney grilles that it will probably have, like the leak picture

The rear appears E63ish in a very positive sense. Still not diggin the headlight design but everything else looks really awesome. I do think the front end design will show up with a somewhat stronger pronounced shark nose concept.

Well, I guess I know what I'm buying in 2028 (2022 + 7 year production cycle) to replace my 2020 M2C. IF the C or SC still comes in a MT!

I'm very excited for this car. Hopefully they don't separate the manual from the competition like the G8X and leave 6MT drivers stuck with a reduced output power train.

I feel like the grills are bigger based on the camouflage we seen versus the render and it would be odd for them to not connect them like the current m2 butterfly, so I think that part is off on this render.

Everything points to exciting- it’s a little bigger so really the question is if it’s going to be significantly heavier than the outgoing model.

Not a huge huge fan of the headlights and tails but overal I’m liking the stance

It may very well be the last great BMW ICE car. I’d get excited over a CS version a few years down the line.

To clarify, the article states that the G87 for the UK market will most likely only be offered the 'M2 Competition', but other markets would also have the base M2 model on offer.

What was the UK take rate on the M2 manual?

If it was as high as the US they will offer the stick there. If they do it will cut into M4 sales since the M4 in the UK is comp auto only.

I like it, but the headlights are a let down for me...the quad look is so classic, and I would hate to see that missing from the G87.
