Well yeah, the 230i (lighter, looks better, most say handles better) at 47k almost fully loaded is a way better value than an M240i specced to almost 70k almost fully loaded. I completely agree that at that price an M2 is a no brainer; they can be gotten optioned well for like 75-80k.

just adding on here again but yea, do not pay near $70k for an M240. great car, not worth that with other options out there. excellent option when you're in the low/mid 50s, not mid/high 60s

I will say this, even with the risk of sounding like a complete rube: I find the sensatec to be great, especially being $1500 cheaper than the leather options. I compared the two at the dealer on a few models on the lot and the sensatec felt as good or better.
The other controversial opinion I would add is that I don't have the ZTK package and I still thoroughly enjoy pushing the car to my limits. I honestly doubt I could push the car to its limits any time soon. And again, the savings up front as well as in the slight extra cost for tires, brake pads is something I doubt that I will miss. |

if anyone cares about resale value, the only options that matter are leather, auto trans, and premium package (this is not my hot take on customer desires, i am in the process of selling and these are the only ones that affect value)

They do offer all seasons for my region. And for the amount of horse power it has I’d go for summer tires. Ps4s not really a track tire. Cup2 is where you start getting into the track tires territory, ps4s is high performance daily tires. People do have fun with the car, ex take it to auto cross or something.
