Just one man’s experience here, but my i3S was the only trouble free BMW I’ve ever owned loved that little thing. Have seriously considered trading the G82 for an iX about a dozen times.

And that’s saying a lot living in a environment such as Arizona, this heat eats away at BEV’s. |

Personally, I would like to see a return of the 6 Series and be slotted under the 8 Series as a smaller, lighter, sexier, more intuitive GT car but with a lot more “sport” imbued within it’s chassis. |

I had a G80 previously and now own an iX. Don't miss the M3 at all honestly. Traffic is so congested in Socal that the times I could use the real performance of any of my M cars I can count on one hand. Plus the iX has been incredibly reliable and just a great daily driver. Not a fan of the looks, but everything else is amazing.

Worse case scenario it would probably be R4 hybrid with a lot of power even better if they would make R6 hybrid like we have now and ofc V8 hybrid would be awesome but considering Van Meel was bragging about 1 Megawat power / 1360 ps and quad motor setup plus new " hand of god " computer .
We also officially know M is already testing the quad motor setup using i4 it's on YT and that thing they showed lately in spy shots old but modern american retro hatchback thing . So it will probably be a full EV couple hundred ponies quad motor super car . I wonder if Polestar guy will design it because his hyper concept car is epic . Beyond that I hope it’s something completely bad-ass. A performance hybrid would be fine with me as long as it’s a plug-in and not a serial hybrid I’m all for a performance hybrid as long as it’s something extremely capable and not a half-baked attempt like the late i8

EV supercar is dead on arrival. Rimac can’t even sell the 250 cars they planned for Nevera (less than 150 sold in 2.5 years). And Porsche was embarrassed when they showed the Mission X to prospective buyers at Monterrey when they all said they wouldn’t spend $1M on an EV supercar and uniformly said they would only want a ICE or Hybrid setup.

There is nothing more coming out. That car does not exist yet, at least not in production form. BMW makes a supercar nearly every year, but the business case never really gets approved. It was close twice: once with the I16 M Vision Next and this year with another EV supercar which was exciting in its own way, but still an EV which is tough these days.

Make the 8 Series slightly more upmarket since it fights above it weight class anyway and just label it an Alpina. Make it special! Then that leaves more market room for the return of the 6 Series. Smaller, intuitive, beautiful chassis dynamics, hydraulic steering (not going to happen, 6-cylinder and V8 engine options, and available in Coupe, Cabriolet, Gran Coupe, and via special order a damn Targa version. Base, M Sport, and M GmbH versions. Oh, and it should have jaw-dropping and panty dropping styling that echos previous BMW style inspirations (nothing recent) and while futuristic looking forward to set the tone that BMW and BMW M are taking zero prisoners with it. If those two cars go away as you have mentioned there will be holes in the lineup that will be need to be filled. |

Not entirely true. The I16 was a BMW project, 4 cylinder hybrid, i8 successor. The McLaren rumors weren't much more than simple conversations, but no where near a Toyota-BMW partnership conversation
