What's the feedback on the MAD catted DP? Does it throw a check engine light?

It's an excellent option for a value downpipe to improve air flow and sound.

Like almost every downpipe on the market, it will trigger the check engine light.

The only two options guaranteed not to trigger the CEL are the active autowerke and Fabspeed.

Mike: With the MAD Catted Downpipe, I love the sound, but I unfortunately missed the note that it would cause a CEL. Is there any way to get that off? I have read a spacer on the sensor might do it but I don't want to spend too much time on it if it is what it is. I did check the codes and it is definitely the Cat efficiency codes (P0430 and P0420)

Thank you,

Terry

The best way to eliminate the CEL is to get the active autowerke downpipes. its not cheap but worth the investment in my opinion

I would also be interested to know if there is a solution for the check engine light with a spacer. That is the main thing holding me back from buying a DP, because i'm not terribly keen on spending 1500 bucks.

So, the AA downpipe is EPA compliant or EPA compliant, but not EPA registered, unless there's no difference? Also, are there any issues passing emissions when using the AA downpipe?

From what i know, AA cats have been submitted to EPA and are waiting for approval

the GESI cats are already approved

Is there any functional difference between AA and GESI cats or is it mainly the EPA approval?
