I'll be doing a build post in this forum too, just to document all our little discoveries and experience with this project. Appreciate all the kind words, sarcasms, compliments and complaints!

Will follow along even though I have no plans to mod my M2.

Watching the video the oil temperature didn't appear to go up all that much.

Was wondering if you did an oil level check pre/post track to see if there was any oil consumption?

You still stuck on the oil issue? These cars do have sensors and unless it is bad, if no CEL is thrown, why are you so concerned? If you think you have a bad sensor, take it in and let them scan it for codes.

Rad video! Thanks for the track inspiration!

Not stuck on it. Don't think the sensor is bad.

Was just wondering what if any oil the engine consumed on the track.

The same is often said of the Gen6 Camaro SS 1LE. But with it being about $30K less than the G87 M2, and runs 1:33's at the same track, then which one's really the "giant killer"?

Sure, I'd rather have the M2 over my now sold 2020 SS 1LE, but the entry price to kick ass on the track, while staying OEM, is simply a bargain!

Apologies for getting a little off topic, but the "giant killer" comment brought back some fun memories.

It's a legitimate argument. The trouble is, it's a Camaro, and this is a BMW. Completely different quality/NVH, and ownership experience.

I agree. The only time I’d recommend the SS 1LE over the BMW is for a “mostly” dedicated track whore.

Prophetic.
This video was much better with POV than the videos SG does at the track, those guys need to add some better angles instead of aiming the cameras at themselves half of the time.
Watching this makes me think the G87 is more like the e92 just in terms of weight and size. Hmmm.
Probably the best video I’ve seen so far.
