Which model(s) can I pick that'll fit the G42? Going to see if the AliExpress seller has the steering wheel trim and shifter

Just click the link in the first post by Vudumonkey. The kit will fit the G42 as the interior is the same as the 3 and 4 series.

The intent with the question was for shopping for other accessories, like CF steering wheel kit, shifter, etc

Gotcha. The description for the Aliexpress carbon kit showed the following:

Compatibility:
Fit For BMW 3 Series G20 G21 2020+
Fit for BMW 4 Sereis G22 G23 G26 2020

I assume you could search on those models for other items.

The things that are different is the steering wheel you need the heated steering which most don't have. The door stuff is different. Things like speakers, controls, vents, shifter all seem to be the same though

Carbon shifters options are bmw oem carbon that look like what we have, oem m4 which are more aggressive or any g20 aftermarket option. From many vendors, aliexpress, and ebay

Messaged the seller RHD is still in product link will be up at some stage. I have till Aug till mine is in the country so plenty of time hopefully the price is the same.

Did you buy the red start button from the same seller as the CF parts? Do you just pull out the old then snap in the new?

I installed the 8 pc matte carbon kit from aliexpress and man did it come out better then I thought it would. Completely happy with this and now I can take that money I was going to spend on the BMW kit and put it towards springs and wheels.

Yup, this is the matte kit. Came with a generous amount of 3m tape, easy to install.

Would you be able to provide the link. I'm only able to find the glossy and don't want the glossy option, much more prefer the matte option like you have.

It's the "LHD Matte 8Pcs" kit in the first link. Just have to click on the right picture to get it to come up.

I received my 5 piece kit and it looks good. The edges seem mostly flat though...I thought they had a slight wrap around to cover the existing trim. The storage door piece has no curve at the side edge. Was this the case for others who received theirs? Otherwise looks to be good quality. Now if I could only get my car here from the port.....

I installed my Ali express carbon fiber interior today. It was a super easy install but you have to have tons of patience. That's hardest part was getting the red tape off the side that needs to stick down lol. Just do the prep work and take your time. The pieces are kinda flat instead of having a curve to fully wrap some of the areas. Overall I'm happy with the look and cannot complain for the price. It's way better than the piano black I had before with scratches on them.
