Good thing, too. With the 77 miles that came on it, the PZeros would have just about been shot.

If the front stock cast wheels weigh 26lbs I bet the rears are like 27~28. Freakin' boat anchors.

Front wheels are 28lbs each. Tires are light! Def not as bad as thought.

28lbs for the front wheels is heavy. Good thing you got the 827Ms! Can't wait to see what the rears weigh...

Bingo.

I have APEX forged Sprint Line wheels on order that will reduce rotational mass by 10 pounds per corner on an xDrive M240, which will improve ride, handling, braking and acceleration which xDrive will make the absolute most of.

It's like a tune for the entire car with no risk, except possibly from wheel thieves.

Rear wheels weighed 31lbs even. Significant savings there.

Edit: 5lb difference front and rear

Edit: corrected weight due to applying wrong tire weight math - our front tires weigh 26lbs and rear tires are 27lbs but my scale showed a 1.4 difference.

I thought they would be around 30-32lbs, def not as bad as I thought either. So the rears may be around 29-30 each. 827m are roughly 24 lbs each so a total of around a 18-20lb weight savings.

Jeezuz, I was way off on the rears. Those are boat anchors. So a total of around a 25 lb weight reduction going with the 827m, not too shabby. Did you weigh the car stock before doing anything?

Thank you!

No way to sugarcoat it, they could use a diet.

It's really disheartening. BMW has the G87 listed as 3,814 with AT but he got it with the MT which should reduce the weight by ~55 lbs and put it around 3,759 lbs. He's near that weight with a CF roof. I'd expect it to be closer to ~3,710.

Interesting because the curb weight on BMWUSA.com is 3,814lbs w/ automatic and that would have to be with the standard sunroof. No doubt she’s porky but there’s alot of opportunity to shed roughly 200lbs w/o breaking the bank too badly.

Beat me to it. Yup, very disappointing from what BMW is listing it at but I remember awhile ago someone posted that BMWUSA.com figure was probably incorrect based on another piece of information they found and that it was roughly 50lbs heavier.

Glad I have a natural weight advantage. With 6MT, carbon buckets, carbon roof and aftermarket wheels the weight as a number shouldn't seem that bad to me.
