Although it looks awkward, I just couldn't bring myself to drilling holes into the bumper.

Which mount did you go with? And could you share a few more pics? (from top and side).

I am thinking the same spot and just trying zip ties, something like this:

The RHO-Plate for the G87:

I've used many tow-hook style brackets over the years and I can honestly confirm this is by-far, the best design I've ever used.

In Virginia it’s a big enough deal that higher level car dealers provide the front Mount but don’t install it. They have to include it by law but don’t have to install. So I have tow hook mounts for my cars I keep in the trunk but if I didn’t have to occasionally drive onto military installations where they check for and ticket missing front plates, I would have it at all. I’ve been fortunate in not getting a ticket for one missing. I even got a ticket last fall for not fully stopping at a stop sign at a clear intersection, but the sheriff never noticed or didn’t say anything about lack of front plate. I think Fairfax County VA is more aggressive or at least used to be in policing for front tags. All the surrounding states other than Maryland and DC don’t require them so the state’s excuse for requiring them is fairly lame.

I really liked a 911 I was about to buy. The dealer strategically did not show bumper holes for the front plate in the advertisement photos. When I got to the dealer and saw them, I asked well this is an issue for me, especially at the price they were asking. They weren’t planning on fixing it. They sold the car to some other person. I’m not really a law breaker but some rules are just stupid. As stated before, a front plate doesn’t get you anything from a safety or other perspective. My ezpass seems to work just fine etc.

That location won’t work if you have adaptive cruise. Front plates aren’t just an eyesore, they can block parking sensors and camera in modern cars.

At least it’s out of the way. This is kind of how I had it mounted on my 135is.

I agree...not cheap at all...but it's so well designed specifically for the G87.

I ordered on a Monday...arrived the next day.

Not quite sure how much $110 impacts a car with a $67K-$70K purchase price.

Especially when the alternative is drilling holes into your bumper.

$80k with tax and misc fees but whose keeping track?

$110 is still nothing to scoff at for purely aesthetic motives IMO. It also seemed higher in comparison to everything else I’ve seen posted.

Does anyone else have experience with this tow hook mount? I did notice shipping is 8-10 business days. Amazon Zip-ties maybe the temp solution for me now.

Just saw your response. Next day, sweet. Was that for the Express option or regular?

I don’t gamble but I’d go $1 you’ve spent $110 more foolishly than this some time in your life. And I suspect I’ll win that bet.

You’re a winner! Where should I send your Dollar?

Even more disappointing as I try and learn from previous errors in judgement, yet here I am going back and forth with a non gambling gambler over his belief that I’m too tight fisted when it comes to tow hooks.

I need this damn car already.
