According to the Infinite Autowerks website it also appears that they can "remote code" them for an additional $50 if you select the oem led strip & you need a enet cable and windows pc. $300 is a bit steep for a 2 light strips imo.

$300 also gets you the cup holder lights so I guess 4 light strips really, and yes you can get the service done through them if you decide to go that route.

I just got the kit and will be working on integration into a manual G87. I will update as soon as I can.

Sadly no.. the install itself isn't hard and the pieces are excellent. The side trim looks really good but just will not line up to fit. The mounting points are just too different from the original pieces. Regretfully the cup holder changes is the same with a back lip shape and different retaining clips. They just won't fit without a radical amount of changes.

If it was 0-25% modifications I would say go for it and make it work. As is, it would be probably 75% modification of the mounting points and custom cutting plastics.

I am impressed by the pieces and REALLY wish I could make them fit in a manual, but not without going crazy with a dremel tool.

Kudos to Infinity on a excellent upgrade for auto cars. I will do an install DIY video but for a different auto car.

Oh damn, that sucks. I had a similar realization after ordering carbon coverplates for the black "side pieces" on the center tunnel, not realizing the automatic and manual cars have different sized center consoles. Oh well... some guys have all the fun.

Just picked up the kit! Did it come with instructions or is it pretty self explanatory for the install? Did you make your DIY for it yet by chance?

I have a different donor car that will work and will have the video asap. That said it's not very hard and takes a t20 and a plastic trim tool and you are gtg.

Did you switch out the center trim piece to gloss black? Is that an OEM part?

Not sure which part you’re referring to, but yeah everything in that picture is oem aside from the ambient light stuff

I was thinking of the area around the shifter and iDrive controller. I thought that was a matte finish in the G87 but that must be on the manual models only.

Correct, automatics get glossy trim around the shifter.

Joined the crew with the center console/cupholder retrofit! Looks great and the support from the IAW team was top notch. I opted for the remote coding and they walked thru the addressing of the LEDs remotely. My car was stubborn for some reason so they helped me troubleshoot the lights and we got it all working. They were willing to spend several hours on the phone, which was amazing. Very happy with the kit and the customer service!

Did you find an automatic to install this on?
