I have seen plenty of d-bag drivers who drives BMWs too you know.

I'll say this, I am not a type of person to care much for engine/exhaust noise or groan about it but Porsche and Benz cars generally sound way better stock than BMWs.

For the record, I never drove like a D-bag until I bought a BMW.

That's not saying much. I challenge anyone to post a video of a modern performance-oriented car which sounds worse than a new M3/M4. I can't think of one.

I have owned several P cars my absolute favorite exhaust was my 993 c2 stock exhaust. At idle sounded like a motorboat at speed the note and tone was indescribably delicious, miss that car a lot, but my favorite all around was my RSA . If you have never owned a 911 you should try to get one when you can, like me do not have to keep it forever but a must to own one before you forget how to enjoy a honest sports car . I used both as my daily driver and track car and were perfectly suited for both tasks with no mods, can not say that about to many cars.

Nice to see another F8x driver hating on fellow car enthusiasts. Also ironic that the comment is that the exhaust sounded bad. Does your F8x exhaust sound good to you?

Gts here. Sounds great!
I had the MPE on prior car (f80 M3) and that solved the problem. Sounded great as well!

Have driven my friends 911 a few years ago (was a 996 model perhaps? I'm not too sure) and it was great - just not really to my taste. Just haven't really ever liked Porsche.

This thing that passed me was no 911 though - I can assure you of that. It was kind of like one of those BMW 320is where they've got 15 degrees of camber on the back, a wing 6 feet high and a 12" exhaust "tin can" poking out the rear. 1000 exhaust BHP, but only about 50 at the wheel.

To me, there's a difference between a car enthusiast, and this tool. And he was being a tool - IMHO.

And yes - I can tell you honestly that my exhaust sounds 1000x better than his did.

This thread is hilarious....BMW drivers have had the worst reputation as drivers for many moons. I spent 17 years behind the Roundel trying not to add to the stereo type. While I spent my last few years tracking my car, I still did enjoy some fun on my daily commute. Maybe the P-Car driver was just enjoying his car after a hard days work. Did you ever think it may have had nothing to do with you at all? Don't be fooled into thinking because you own a M car that everyone wants to show off to you. Don't be full of yourself and these type of adventures will make you smile if you are truly a car enthusiast.......Phil

I'm very calculated with my words. There's a reason I said modern.

Hard to say which noise is less awful, but I agree...the 13B sounds like complete dog shit for the most part. However, I won't go so far as any rotary. A properly sorted 3 or 4-rotor sounds glorious...

It's about BMW ///M fanboys...and nothing else ,and that's normal because this is Bimmerpost.

Porsche is probably the best sports car ever !

Can't imagine what went through his head, but I'm sure he was impressed as all hell...
I do this all the time. This is frowned upon?

On a side note, were you in the left lane? If you were, why didn't you move over?

When someone said they will never ever owned a P car, most likely because they can't afford to own one.

P cars are awesome. Hate all you want though.

Sorry to say he was probably just having fun and you're all prickly about it for some reason.

Let me see. Doing about 65 in a 60 zone. He approaches from behind at way higher - about 80 to 90 to catch up to me. Slows down when he gets close. Chops down a couple of gears, roars past me at full throttle, then slows down about 50 yards in front of me, all while there were no other cars on the road for about half a mile either direction.

I think it was pretty safe to say it was because I was there. Unless that's how Porsche drivers drive normally?
