Spot on! The back is the worst looking of all sides, especially with the M performance parts and exhaust. Have seen a few in flesh in other colours and the doesn’t look any better.

IMO luxury car buyers (badge snobs) are people looking for a status symbol to make them feel better about themselves. Whereas performance car enthusiasts are a completely different demographic looking for a fun/competent car to ‘USE’ on or off track regardless of manufacturer. However due to the BMW ‘badge’ there is definitely a crossover of the type of owners on the M forums, ive experienced it on the AMG forums too, but its never difficult to identify the car enthusiasts from the poseurs.

I dunno about this color. It's weird on every other BMW I've seen & really weird on this one. And those M Performance stick-on doodads... still heinous.

Trying to ignore the m performance bits and focus on the color I am of two minds. I really want to like the color, but the picture of the back and the back half of the car in the last picture it isn't florescent enough for me.
I am excited to see some video footage and pictures of a tastefully done SPY G87. |

After having the original M2 and currently the Comp I wanted the G87 but after checking with multiple dealers (Australia) I could not get a sunroof even after my first two both have sunroofs that use every day, and then the more I saw the mods the more I disliked the car.
Anyway now waiting for my M4 G83 LCI convertible to be delivered. Seeing the yellow M2 I could not be happier that I switched to the M4. |

Must admit i wasnt overly fond of the G87 when released (mainly due to the increase in size/weight over the already bloated F87), however the more i see well modified versions along with the release of these great new colour options, the more potential i see. If only they’d kept the dct 😢.
A lighter weight ‘M4 CSL’ type of G87 would be a very tempting proposition indeed.

The MPHAS it has really makes the ride height nice. It would be cool to see the SPY without all the other fluff. I think this color may have found its car. I still think they should have called the color "Tennis Ball."

But Skip all the performance parts except the suspension option. The carbon fiber stuff is just expensive and cheap looking.

The purple with the silver wheels is the best. Port install the MPHAS and the CF tips for stock exhaust and you're done.

Also need the underbody shield to protect the radiator. I'm going in next week to get in line. No rush on an allocation since my current car is fine and I'm keeping that as.my daily. The M2 is my weekend toy to go along with the motorcycle.

Nothing quite says ‘serious race car’ to everyone on the street like the tacky little red cloth tow strap up front.

No. Only M2 in the welt. I will be going back tomorrow and will take detailed pics. Will try and get interior pics but the car is locked. I’ll post additional pics tomorrow.

Genuine apologies - my two comments in this thread are directed strictly towards BMW - not to any G87 owners. Enjoy your G87. Have to keep this short - cars are stacked up in the drive-thru. 😉 |
