Forged carbon looks nice in select places in the interior, but tacky as hell on spoilers, mirrors, and intakes.

I love forged in certain applications. Don’t like it on this with lots of angles. Like it better on flatter or rounder surfaces.

Like it on interior and I do like it on those mirror caps. Had a phone case with it once that looked good and just different.

Don’t like it for that front end though. But problem is you really can’t mix and match when choosing it for your trim pieces cuz that would most look worse.

So I respect the owners desire to do this. I just wouldn’t and that doesn’t matter. Lol

Not a fan of forged, but like the kit. Particularly the front middle portion. I was never a fan of the black middle design BMW added rather then making it the same as the painted color of the car. With this kit, I'd keep all the CF, But I'd paint the center lip with the hex-rectangular scoops the color of the car. Help delete that center black portion and have the cars color go fully across completing the line of the bumper. In this case with a little angled drop. Would look nice.

If I remember correctly, forged carbon is one of the weakest types of carbon fiber.

It’s omni-directional strength is good due to effectively having random weave direction, but a properly weaved or spun carbon fibre component that uses the weave to channel the loads effectively can be stronger and lighter.

For the life of me I couldn’t think what forged CF reminded me of, now I know as that worktop was everywhere at one time in Scotland.
Actually think the worktop would look better bolted to that car ….
All that’s missing from it now is a set of white wheels to complete the look.
Not a fan, bit of a mess imo.

It's probably made out of carbon fiber scraps without long strand carbon tow.

Forged carbon fiber is less likely to crack under pressure because of the amount of pressure used to create it.

Its got a higher fiber volume and diversity of strand orientation making it harder to break than traditional carbon fiber.

The process of making it is usually easier and quicker than normal and that’s why a lot of people don’t believe it should be priced higher.

Your copy and paste from Google is lacking in correct information, 12-24K weave is stronger and why it's used more.

🤣😂
‘Forging’ is a metals processing procedure, not plastics.
Its just a name, its also called ‘chopped’ carbon which is a more apt description than forged.
Never seen ‘forged’ carbon on an F1 car or any other serious competition car for that matter.
Its purely cosmetic, unlike ‘real’ carbon fibre which offers serious structural benefits.

Then it’s my mistake.

Regardless it’s a quicker and simpler process that shouldn’t be getting charged a premium over normal carbon fiber.
