At about 6:20 in this vid, in the displays app, he shows an "M mode" setting. Does mean what's tied to the M buttons?

Only Track Mode turns off Blind Spot. It’s still your Nanny in Sport.

Also, it is possible to turn off Lane Assist to answer another posters question.

I believe the complaint with lane assist was the persistence; is there a way to turn it off for good, without deactivating it every start or going to the Sport display mode?

Hopefully they can also fix the volume knob sensitivity with a future update to the iDrive. Steering wheel controls do work better as someone else previously stated.

Those are my only complaints so far, but I haven’t had much seat time in it yet.

I dont have my M2 yet but on my '23 G42 M240 with iDrive8 it can be disabled (without having to do anything each time you start the car).

It’s more of a thump from the shifts from either the exhaust or the piped in sound system.

Exactly, lame assist just keeps turning back on and it's freaking annoying.

It happens in my g82 as well, started after a remote update or the system. Wasn’t there before.
