Who would have thought BMW would be mining the Dodge back catalog for gold?

to be honest... i'm digging it

not sure if it's the real deal or not, but I feel like as BMW is M-ifying the M240i so much with the hood bump and the mirrors, it's probably not too unrealistic to change the headlights and the whole face...

might not be, but wasn't that front kinda like everybody was asking for on the M3/M4? does it look plain? maybe a bit, but that's just a dummy bumper without carbon fiber, mesh etc.

if they do the same simplification to the rear with a nice diffuser, this could be a very simple yet aggressive looking car

Horrendous, but nothing would surprise me at this point.

I think its likely this is real. There's a possibility that the M2 is getting new squared headlights that will resemble the 2002 Homage.

M2 will need more...
Can't remember one single model over the years having different headlight (fit wise) between M model and its series counterpart. Not even GT4/CSL/CS/GTS model.

Easily see why - to tune up aggression, there're a whole lot other ways more effective.

And, in recent years you do realize the M approach is to just fit add-ons of (kinda) afterthought (eg: GTS/CS model).

If they go retro with square design and big flares that's awesome I'm here for it.

I mean, it's not worse than the G80/2.

It's a low bar but still

I wanna say hell no…. But with the way bmw has been going these days. I'm very hesitant to say so. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the real thing. -_-

If they give the M2 some 80s era squared off widebody then I can see it being kinda neat.
I really gotta see it on the whole car.

But leaks come from everywhere.

Very Hommage feel with squared off lights. Would that be an issue?
Given the praise for that concept?
And they did say to expect more differentiation to the M cars from standard M Performance cars.
Look how the 4er is different to the M4 as an example.

And anyway it's BMW...Expect the unexpected.
If you want to make it harken back to the Hommage concept, then do it... as opposed to this "if you squint your eyes really hard and look at it from this angle it kinda has these aspects sort of!"

Where would the registration plate mount?? Doesn't seem right the lack of space between the grills and the lower black part of the bumper.

So if these are fake, then it's a decent fake since it's close to what people are expecting the real M2 to look like.

Now, this really means that China has the capacity to make new bumpers, especially a new bumper with normal grilles for the G8x M3 & M4. Come on guys, make it happen lmao!

This whole thread reminds me a lot of what occurred in the initial leak of the G8x front bumper. Even down to some of the same style of comments from Scott here.

Have a pretty good feeling these are real or at least very close to the final product.

Have to wait and see how everything comes together in the end to fully judge.

M2 might end up looking like the speedboat version of the new Tundra 😁
