Should appeal to the Civic and WRX teenage crowd.

Always can count on people showing their age on the internet! I find it genuinely hilarious that it usually ends up being someone older who always turn it into an ageist and elitist based opinion instead of just saying ‘not for me’

Though not my personal style, looks badass to me.

If I ever replace my F87 with a G87, it will stay cosmetically stock. I haven’t liked the style of any of the m performance or aftermarket enhancements. First M car I’ve ever felt that way.

It's a fair point, but I think car culture and after market parts designers are stuck thinking everyone wants to be in the Fast & Furious. This has been a problem since the 90s.

If we communicate to them that these parts don't appeal to the market maybe they will try some more mature designs.

Or maybe I'm completely off base here and these will sell like hot cakes.

No, you’re actually spot on. Strong (or lack of) sales is the best communication the consumer can offer.

IMO

The concept of ‘Aftermarket’ imo is intended to be extreme design. If you want something inline with the manufacturer design you would look for OEM offerings. There’s hardly any aftermarket kit makers outside of Guntherwerks (who’s ironically owned by Vorsteiner) that make ‘mature’ design offerings.

I’m seriously considering this to be implemented to my plans for a future G87. At less than $100k to have this extremely rare and sick looking machine would be the perfect pairing to my garage.

Complete departure from the aesthetic on which the car was built—homage to the e30 M3.

I feel like as a whole package, it's just too much. But I would honestly reserve judgment until I see the thing in real life.
Sometimes less is more, for example look at the GT3 and the GT3 Touring. Porsche new there's a market for performance cars that don't have huge wings.
I really like the trunk though, duck bills look so good on the G87s.

Firstly, I’m telling you that aging is extremely contagious, and unfortunately for you, you are already infected with it.

Secondly, isn’t it a little discriminatory to group people by age? Consistency, please.

And thirdly, you assume wrong. I’m not young anymore, but totally dig a few of these Vorsteiner elements. Since I track my car, I’m not questioning their styling but rather their effectiveness (in terms of downforce or cooling enhancements).

Aging is a concept that I don’t subscribe to lol I’ll be just as young and cool at 86

How was I discriminating? I made an observation based on the commentary shared by others. It’s safe to assume if someone is saying “who likes this teenage design” that they are in fact older. You’re reaching hard on this one lol

Question what you’d like! My initial commentary was solely in regards to all the unnecessary negative commentary surrounding the kit

If it weren’t for elders, there would be no one to correct mistakes of the young and/or foolish. Occasionally you’ll see an individual comfortably fit in both categories.

It’s a general statement that happens to be true.
It was not directed at anyone specific.
Some people find humor in the strangest places.
