Did they make any changes for G87 or just determine that their existing G8X kit would fit?

Thanks!

Made the correction in my post earlier today. JustinHEMI will need to correct on his end since his post doesn't reflect the change.

Here's a G87 M2 lowered using the KW G8X M3/M4 HAS, fitment was perfect, car drives and handles great.

So that’s maxed out, correct? Are the pics of the car post settling or immediately after install?

Immediately after install, will still settle a bit more.

I just got my KW HAS installed a few days ago. The drop looks pretty identical to this car which has me thinking about maybe raising the rear a few mm because the fronts still looks higher than the rear and it’s kinda bugging me.

I’ll post some pics soon

How much more harsh is the ride though? I’m considering just getting spacers and calling it a day. I don’t want comfort to become sport+.

Wouldn't call it harsh at all, but noticeably sportier. I've never had anyone complain about harshness after installing a HAS, it's a very OEM+ type of mod.

Which of the two is firmer, KW or MP?

Haven't installed M-Performance on G87 yet.

On F8X M3/M4 the kit is essentially identical, as the M Performance HAS is private-labeled by KW as they already have an existing partnership with M Motorsport:

After 600 miles, I have zero complaints about how the M HAS came fitted from the factory. Car showed up dropped by 10mm and with a 3D report from the port install showing the ride height and alignment specifications. Ride is comfortable, 10mm drop is great, and wheel arches look just right. I personally enjoyed this experience a lot more than I would have if I had to wrangle parts and hire a third party shop.

Of course it's a reason to buy one over the other. I would never put yellow and purple suspension parts on my $75k machine unless that is the look I was going for. Matches nothing... hard to say how much they are seen though... possibly only on full droop?

I too was interested in the AST kit. I too am lost as I ended up on some Vorstiener body kit page after following some of the links. I think they are coming out with a G87 specific AST spring based on the "backorder" or "preorder" status on most websites (as of last week, haven't checked today).

I cant fathom sny reason to snub a quality product for the color they use, especially for a product like a spring.
Manufacturers dont make custom spring colors. I suppose you could always have them powder coated if it really bothers you.

How did you pick the color of your car?

The same way everyone else did. Yes, a smartass answer but your question doesnt relate. BMW offered a selection of colors to choose from. KW, H&R and other spring companies dont offer a spring color palate to choose from. Their colors are what they are (it is also a form of advertising as people know their colors so when someone sees those colors on a car....).

I'm not fighting, I'm making a point. The whole post was about which to choose, the BMW spring or the KW spring, and color is one of the differences. If I were choosing between the two, color would definitely be a factor and based on the comment I was responding to, I'm not alone.

Maybe insane from your perspective. Seems like it's one of only 4 differences between the two products (price, adjustability, color, brand) so maybe some people would rule out 25% of the decision but I wouldn't... and I actually would care if some bright yellow spring was visible through my wheel.

Edit: oem of the same brand?
