Figured that'd be the case, but worth a shot. As a displaced Chicago suburbanite, always looking for an excuse to get back. Aside from family and pizza, of course.
DM what you're looking for and I'll see what I can do!

I had previously ordered an M2 comp right before I started to order this last summer and I was at $62,400 possibly $63,800 with the M drivers package. So its right around that. The G42 M240 maxed out is lower than 60k. I got every option except the HP drivers tire package. I wish I did order that in retrospect and deleted the moon roof.

I can’t exactly make sense of the difference between the Shadowline Package and the M Sport Package Pro, because they both contain the same items.

338 M Sport Package Pro
  • 3M2 M Sport Brakes with Red Calipers
  • 3MF M Shadowline Lights
  • 7M9 Extended Shadowline Trim

Is there a way to order the M240i Coupe with the driver assistance option? I mean the option that adds adaptive cruise control and steering/lane assist.

I see the option for the M440i Coupe but not the M240i.

I ordered a 230xi at MSRP + applicable rebates qualified for (Owner’s loyalty/etc.). Most I could get off was $750 but that dealer was playing games with interest rate. I think it just depends on allocations.

Found a 230i which was marked up $2k over MSRP -- ended up working with sales & helped me receive a $1,500 discount, so drive 450+ miles one way to Tennessee to pick up my '22 230i. Couldn't pass up the trade-in value I got at the time that made the purchase possible.

It was either 450 miles each way to pick up the 230i or pay even more to buy the model I wanted with the options I wanted on either coast -- feel lucky to be able to own what I wanted at the (hopefully right?) time for maximum trade value.

Wasn't a fan of the markup but in the end, could live with $500 bucks over.

Ha. I did something very similar to this. Dealer thats 4 hours away gave me a good trade in value over the phone for my car. Then they spend 30 mins with the car when I show up, say it's the same number. Then they say they just talked to the dealer in their network for this brand (base porsche macan), they tell me it's actually about $5k less than they told me. Yea, I was fuming. I ended up insulting them to an extra $1k plus got $1k off the 4 year service plan (came down to like $1200, worth it for the brakes at that $$) but it just sucked... It was for an M240i, and after calling about 25 dealers that week, there were just none on lots. This car was the literal perfect spec (minus ACC but few 240s have that) plus I stopped to see iDrive 8 in person and i HATED it, so I basically had to get semi raked over the coals to get this.. They had 2 more local appointments for the car that afternoon, so if I asked to sleep on it, I'd have lost it.

At the end of the day, the offer for my car wasn't actually terrible, it's just the lack of transparency and letting me drive 4 hours without doing due diligence that annoys me. I'll just chalk it as a $3k markup since they sold me the car at MSRP. Plus, the guy keeps calling me to fill out the BMW survey and give him 10's... I think the fairest thing I can do is just not touch the survey since I will not have nice things to say.

Oh, I absolutely love the car tho

No be honest and rate them or they'll never stop the BS. Absolutely dreading pickup of my first BMW and negotiating my final trade. They've only appraised it over the phone so far but lets say its thousands off from other dealers, carmax and so on.

Funny you say that because after sitting with it for a few weeks, I decided to rate them (2 out of 10 in the survey). For what it's worth, it wasn't even the condition of my car... it's when they talked to their in-network Porsche dealer and the dealer was like "oh yea we're actually selling Macan's for this now"... something they could've done with that dealer before I came down. I also checked the listing when my trade went up for sale, cargurus had it at $6,000-7,000 below market. The fact that they screwed me so they could flip it fast... yea, I don't care if the bad survey made someone's life harder. They need to change their behavior. The M240i is still awesome tho and shitty dealer aside, I'm so happy I have this car.

It looks like you can add lumbar support to the sensatec seat option. Can someone confirm this?

I'm more interested in the side bolster adjustment and I believe the lumbar support option includes the bolster adjustment.

Thanks

You can add driver's side lumbar support to the leather seats as well. That's how my car is currently optioned.

That stinks. I wanted the lumbar but not the leather! So many changes in such a short period of time!
