AliExpress Quad Tips

Mine came in today - went for the black CF option and they look very nice, well build - got them from AliExpress, same supplier mentioned in the original post by OP (thanks MurphM240i for the link)

One word of caution for Canadians - while the package came in 5 days, it was shipped via UPS, as such I had to pay an additional $39 in brokerage fees...so keep that in mind if you buy from the same seller - other Vendors may ship via ChinaPost/CanadaPost and there will only be a $7 charge, but you'll get them in 25-30 days

Other than that, they look spectacular, can't wait to break my back and get them on

And here they are installed...
As someone mentioned earlier, installation was easy, getting them aligned was the most time consuming as the right + left exhaust tips are not identically aligned, so sliding the quads on top requires quite some meddling... In the end very happy with the outcome

So I have these tips waiting for my car to eventually arrive...

But I have a question: Looking at the car from the rear, as if you were in a vehicle following (low down), can you see inside the tips and see daylight around the actual exhaust pipe where the tips are bolted on? If so, does it look stupid?

Wondering if there's a heat-resistant caulk (or something) to fill this gap? Or am I overthinking this? I just don't want to look like some chav who has obviously put false tips on his car!

Doesn't the 2nd to last photo above your post show that it you can't?

Perhaps from a more oblique angle you can? Hence my question.
Great, helpful response. A simple, 'no', would have sufficed.

I noticed a small area where the paint is coming off a few weeks after I installed them. It hasn't gotten any worse and it doesn't bother me enough right now to do anything about it.

No.

Look at the posts that just show the tips unfitted. The inlets don’t align exactly with the outlets so you cant see any gap.
You’d have to be so low down to see anyway it’s almost irrelevant.

I'm not sure. I don't know want 'enoug' is.

Funny though, I thought the idea of a forum is to be able to discuss things and ask reasonable questions, without sarcastic, unhelpful answers.

Saw this thread and decided to give it a shot! Found them even cheaper on the G23 M440i page and ordered Silver A: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804160549047.html

Description said fitment was for the M440i but the listed dimensions of the tips matched up. Not much to complain about for the price, only issue I had was the top facing set screw of the passenger side exhaust was about 5-10 degrees off axis to the left but ended up with a pretty close alignment after playing with the depth.

Took a little while to get them set properly and was running out of daylight when I took the closeups, wiped the inside rings down afterwards and most of the black dust came off clean.

Hello everyone,
I have a 2023 m240i leased.
Planning to change the exhaust tips.
The option are:
- these
https://infiniteautowerks.com/shop/e...tips-clamp-on/
- or go to a local shop and they will weld the tips to the pipe.
Then, of course, when i need to return the car, i would need to cut them again. Is it worth? Will be any potential issue with the lease return?

Thanks
