To me it's fascinating, I wake up in the middle of the night, just become conscious, not getting up and walking about, just fall back asleep, and it knows about that gap. It's quite accurate.

I think it has to do with heart rate. While sleeping our heart rate is quite low, even the slightest alertness raises it.

My daily watch, I keep it simple with a manual wind up. Can't have big tech knowing anymore than they need to know.

If I had one of those watches, mine would be confused. I have clocked a resting heart rate of 54 bpm before. LOL. My buddy asked me..bro are you fucking dead!? LOL He couldn't get anything less than 70 IIRC

I dunno man, I may be your opposite, I think I broke my watch because sometimes I have a resting of 94!! Then it skips to 132! I dunno if somebody secretly transplanted the heart of a chipmunk into me lol. Right now I'm @83.

If I already have a phone, I see it as redundant. I do like the health aspect of a digital watch, hence the fitbit, but wearing an iWatch on one arm and an analog on the other is silly.
So, how about it, fitbit on one arm, analog watch on the other. What's the consensus?
Nah…. Don't lol

My heart is 100% driven by electronics, and programmed for 70 BPM at an idle. Whenever I go to a doctor's office, I tell the nurse who takes my pulse and blood pressure that they better get 70 BPM or else call an ambulance.....

I've got the Fitbit Charge 4 - pretty minimalistic appearance but still reads HR and tracks sleep, lets you read texts, and gives you call/text notifications if you want. It's also water resistant so I've swam with it on.

After reading comments, plus doing some research, I bought a Fitbit Charge 5. I'm already liking it a lot!

I didn't even realize the Charge 5 was out already. Looks like it monitors irregular heartbeats too - maybe I should get me one of those lol

SUPCase. I'm on my third one based on the upgrades to the Fitbit (just got the Versa3 because my Ionic had a recall for batteries burning peoples' wrists)

Phone does something, I glance and see: Low/high blood sugar, ESPN update, weather, wo's calling/texting. Plus I can track swimming, running, walking, and it reminds me to move every hour (you have xxx steps to reach your goal of 250 this hours.) Heck, even E-post can be set to notify me on my wrist.

A Garmin G60 golf watch while playing, er, golf.

That’s it.

Haven’t worn a watch since mobile phones became accessible.

I recently moved from a Samsung smartwatch to the same Garmin, mainly for the fitness and health tracking. It is far above the Samsung.

I do HIIT, lift weights and do endurance running. This morning my resting HR was 44.

I'm 63. I really like the instantaneous data and reports the watch shows.
