Yeah.. I have gotten that feedback now several times. Granted, the cover of the video shows installed, and posted a bunch of pics here on this thread of it done. 8)

All right yall, the G87 M2 mods are starting to land and intakes is an easy one! In looking at options for the M2, the MST intakes from Kies Motorsports looked like a fantastic choice, so went for it!
The install is really straight forward and has a noticeable change to sound when driving. Also, the washable reusable filters are a great addition as well. Check it out and look at this for your G8X car, as the install would be the same!

Oh man, I didn't realize I had fallen behind in the build updates.
Hey yall, I wanted to share out my latest change to the G87. It's an easy DIY and makes a very significant change in the exhaust tone of the car. The install isn't hard with a few simple tools and something you can easily DIY. I will have a comparison up next week, but the difference is significant. I appreciate that efficient mode or flaps closed is still mellow, for early mornings or neighbors. Sport mode flaps open, especially with the Dahler controller for full open is aggressive and deeper. This is still with stock downpipes and back box at this stage, though likely changing in the future. Check it out!

I loved the yellow DRLs on my batmobile-esque F87 M2C, and wasn't sure if yellow on my TR G87 would be fitting. That said, the moment I saw a TR G87 with yellow, I knew I wanted it especially with my white gold BBS wheels.
Check it out and see how you can easily do the same!

I realize we end-users can't know for sure, but it makes me wonder how much of the sound difference is really the EL midpipe vs the removal of the resonators & secondary cats. May be a noob question but I really am wondering/curious.
Any exhaust experts out there (that's a respectful call to folks who really know) that can weigh in on that? ryan@ActiveAutowerke I do have & have had a lot of AA products on my M235i & my F87, so this is not a question about the quality or efficacy of their products.

Latest DIY is up, with the excellent touch display from CANchecked and IND-Distribution
For all of the big screens and gauges on the new BMWs, they still don't give all the information. If you are an enthusiast, there are a lot more sensors and info you want to know such as boost, exhaust temp, cylinder timing and more. The incredible gauge from CANchecked and IND Distribution is the way to go! No only does it have 10 pages of touch screen info, it's highly programmable as well! I am really excited to have this in my M2! Check it out

All right yall, I hope you saw last week's video on the installation of the CANchecked display. I wanted to follow up with an initial guide on how to customize this incredibly flexible display. There are so many options that this is just a beginning of what you can do too.
Check it out!

Ok y'all... its serious now with Kies Motorsports and Mishimoto Automotive for big power upgrades into the G87 M2. The weakest point in most modern BMW engines are the charge pipes, espeically if you plan on going beyond stock horsepower. Mishimoto makes a fantastic upgrade to the weaker plastic charge Y pipe in the S58 motor, and I knew I wanted it.
This isn't as easy as some of my DIYs but I will walk you through every single step that will allow you to do this yourself. Check it out!

Ok yall, if you haven't seen my other SoundSkins Global series, I have started a new set for my G87 M2. I am a big fan of Soundskins and their products and have done all many cars in this setup. The short version is road noise sucks, with other cars, tire hiss, weather and more.
This is part 1 of a 2 part series, and also will have a comparison video once done, showing the differences this makes. In my E53 X5, full stage 3 was a -10 decibel change (that's 50% noise reduction) and my F87 was -9db. Road hiss was way down, stereo much much clearer and cleaner, and no real loss of exhaust tone. I couldn't wait to get started on my G87 with this, and its making a difference already.

Great vid and great work! Lot of work but SO worth it. Sound quality is all about having a low "noise floor" Only way in a car to accomplish that is to deaden all resonant surfaces and add sound-absorbing foam, reducing any and all possible reflections.
The knuckle-tap test looking for the higher frequency problem areas is your metric. Awesome.

Not ready to YET at least but will happen for sure eventually. Mosselman turbos and a custom tune are on the radar for sure.

Hey yall, I am really excited to share this new technology for the G model BMW.
One of the things that frustrated me about my car, is how the M1/M2 buttons didn't have the option to change the display to Road, Sport or even Track. I went looking for a solution, and found something that does far more than just that simple change! The canDO Plus module is incredibly sophisticated for such a small package. This will allow you to associate dozens of possible triggers (button push, iDrive movement and more to dozens of actions. This is just the VERY EASY install video, and will have the walk-through of the embedded wifi and web UI. I would want one of these in every G model I owned, and they are working on F series development!
