I agree on the flip flops, I prefer Nike Slides.

Some people just have a massive Napoleon complex.

Surprised none of the customers said anything to him, I would've gotten very impatient and said something to him.

There was a time I would have said something...however, my life experience has taught me that too many (seemingly normal) people have psychological issues. Early onset dimentia or medications or just whatever, people may have deep seated issues that make them act in the worst ways.

Glad to read how nice the dealership was in handling the encounter.

I would have picked a fight with him, I've done it before. It's one thing to be a douche on your time, but don't you dare inconvenience me, I will **** you up.

I'd crush his ego so hard, talk about how he needs a car to compensate for his lack of masculinity, and that's why his wife is on Ashley Madison **** dudes who drive 3 series.

Stand up to people like that -it's not acceptable behavior, and we shouldn't stand by and let people think it is.

Live in Cincinnati (but I'm not the guy in the picture), about 70% of the time work in shorts and flip flops, work out of my house, and shave roughly every 3 days (not because I think it looks good, just as long as I can take it). I do pretty well for myself and hope people headed to work in their suits look down on me.

lol same here. Work from home in a pair of basketball/gym shorts, an old tshirt that probably has holes in it (for aerodynamics of course) and shave every few days.

When I leave the house, bring on the shorts and flip flops!

No, I would take them both off.

Wake up at 7:30, get dressed, walked the dog and eating breakfast at my desk by 8:00. I wonder if my neighbors think I am out of work.

My territory is Ontario to Florida so the other 30% of the time I am dressing better and shaving.

Also if you did not book your appointment in advanced and requested a loaner then there is a good chance they might not have one available when you get there.

What a bitch. Look at the way he's dressed, like a total slob. The service manager should have said that it would be EMBARRASSING to see someone dressed like him in a 7-series.

OT maybe, when you go in for service, are you guys typically cool with Enterprise/Hertz rentals instead of another BMW?

Here in Canada those are not really loaners but more so rentals as you're expected to pay on a per day basis. Dealership does not cover it.

Funny timing on this thread. I took the Cayenne in for service yesterday and they usually give me a base Panamera loaner. However, they were completely out yesterday and all they had available was a Focus. I was admittedly a little annoyed but was ultimately glad they had a car for me. I've never once had the M3 serviced and been offered any sort of free loaner.

After driving the Focus I have to say that the base Panamera is not a huge step up.

As long as it has four tires and it moves under its own power I could care less what I get. It's a loaner, well, free rental.

Although, the Vulva C30 was pretty cool, and much better than the Forester I had another time, or Chevy Cruise.

I usually get a X1 or a 135i as a loaner. Better than a kick in the face.

Could not agree more. I've enjoyed every single loaner I've ever received at the BMW dealership, from the 328i, 335i, 528i, a convertible once and also the X1. Just fun driving other cars than the one you drive every single day.
