I agree that it isn't spectacular - but it is laid out very nice. All the other interiors don't give me the same gratificatoin as BMW.

I got the same impression when my father was looking at the S63's and S65's.

He decided on a RR Phantom, but that's a different subject.

I too found the interior very plain and...almost Ford-like, to be honest. Something definitely not synonomous with "high-end luxury brand".

I *always* felt that way.

From the very first commercial "we did x y and z...because we promised you a Mercedes Benz". It's like they knew people would wonder what it's made of since it's unusually cheap. Maybe even *built cheap*. Almost like they have to tell people, "No no...it really is a MB. We promise."

I liked the c300, the car handled decently and I found the brake pedal pressure fine. I don't think I'd take an Audi over a MB though, front wheel drive blows.
