Overall, I'm pretty happy with the quality of the welds and installing it with the pins and lock nuts was pretty straightforward. It's not perfect, in that putting a round peg in a square hole kind of thing, but I like it.
Just got the tips, they look really good and high quality too! I'm having trouble getting them to be super tight so they don't move around. Any tips you can offer or special tools you used to get the bolts nice and tight against the stock exhaust pipe?

I just tightened down the screws, used the blue loctite and then screwed the locking nuts tight. It's pretty tight on my vehicle.

Did you just use your fingers to tighten down the bolts/screws? I thought about using a pliers but didn't want to damage the threads. I can get them pretty tight be hand but would feel better if I could tighten them down a bit more with a tool.

Hi mblaucoupe135 hope you can make them tighter, i don't have any clue for it

Could you please send several pics on how they look from several angles please? Specially one direct photo of it like in this one? I'm very concerned about most exterior tips touching the plastic:

THANKS A LOT BEFOREHAND!

PS. If possible... a totally lateral of the car one to see how much they go out from the bumper, that'd be great.

I'd use a tool to snug them up tight, and use a lock washer on the nut so it doesn't back out over time. Don't put a breaker bar to it and the threads should be ok.

That's what I was thinking too just curious if there is a special tool to use on a bolt like that without a head and without damaging the threads. I'm sure there is just don't not familiar with such a tool.

I'll try to post some pics this weekend but mwmorph posted some good ones earlier in this thread. To be honest you can adjust them quite a bit to get them positioned the way you like. My issue is getting the bolts screwed in tight enough so they don't move around and I'm not sure the right tool for the job.

you're totally right, mwmorph have indeed very good photos.

I'm just only missing one form the back but at the level of the tips, like in the promotional bmw photo i posted.

That'd be the only one missing to decide go for these tips...

Thanks a lot

It looks like they forgot to put the Allen key opening in my bolts which is why I haven't been able to figure out how to tighten them up! 😡

Are the screws maybe preinstalled backwards, with the Allen key slot facing the exhaust pipe? Try pulling them out to check

You were so right on! Somehow my screws were backwards so I didn't see the Allen keyhole! So glad you noticed that and brought it to my attention! Got the tips nice and snug now!

Let me know if this is what you are looking for. I still need to do some tweaking to get the tips on both sides exactly the same, or at least as close as possible.

Hi mblaucoupe135

YES! Exactly that, they look gorgeous. I'm gonna be ordering them too.

Once you have tweaked everything so that they are "perfect", don't hesitate to post more photos, maybe not for me in this case, but the photos is what made me decide go for them...probably it will help others to decide too

Thanks mate!

You will need high temp blue "medium" strength loctite. The Blue loctite you find on the shelf at a store won't hold.

Loctite 246

Glad to help! I have to say I think these look like a million times better than the stock tips! Way more sporty and aggressive imho. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Got mine today! Quality looks great! But my build went back to “order received” today after being at “Scheduled for production’ for the last 5 weeks, going to be a long time before these get installed.
