Would this affect the return process? I know with Audi, if you had a tune and it was detected and your car was flagged it would affect the lease upon return. However, if you remove the tune at the end of the lease then turn it in, it was no problem. Essentially, they wanted you to return the car the way they gave it to you. Does BMW do the same?
I have been leasing bmws for the past 20 years and have tuned and tracked all of them. As long as you put everything back to stick when you turn it in, then you are good.

That's what I figured and it's consistent with what other manufacturers have done. Thanks for the info! Looks like Dinan tune it is

Received and installed. App on phone too.

Drove about 20 miles mixed.

Initial performance impressions:

Smooth power delivery
More noticeable blow off valve noise
Slightly more exhaust gurgle
Much easier for MPH increases. 😎

Wish the harness was a bit longer due to my stealth install but it worked. You would never know…

App is fine, polished, same as Racechip (I think). No complaints with App.

No issues on install.

No issues with anything.

I do recommend!

I am quite familiar with JB4, TDI, etc. from hella tuning my prior X2M35I. And 15 prior cars of tuning different platforms over the years.

IMO this just works. Set it and forget it (if you want).

👍

Glad you are liking it! I agree with everything you said except for I felt the cords were almost too long and they were kind of a pain to figure out where to attach them so they weren't in the way. But that is a very minor issue Hope you enjoy and let me know if you decide to turn it up to stage 6! 😀

The cords were perfect except I wanted more length towards the actual box brain by about six to eight inches or so as it is hidden safely.

I spent a lot if time laying out the harness and path before connecting everything.

Yeah me too. Connecting all the sensors took like 2 minutes but arranging everything took a lot longer!

I've seen dyno numbers to back that up as well, BMW always undercuts their numbers.

It was a mustang dyno, as long as it's accurate with itself it doesn't really matter what the number is. Finding a dyno that inflates my numbers doesn't do anything 🤣

I drove my car hard for about two hours in the mountains yesterday up to about 10000 feet, in 90 degree weather, with the ac on and with a passenger and had no issues at all!

Just got mine in, uploaded app. Need to install, and was hoping I'd fine some feedback on the device before I "pull that trigger." I have a B48 in my G42 230 MSport, so the extra power will be very nice. Don't need much more as I'm not looking for a monster 0-60 time, but this should take me in the 4.9 range I hope.

Glad it worked out for you! Your good news is good news for everyone.
