Unfortunately, without base numbers, dyno numbers don't mean much

That's not how the JB4 works at all. The JB4 adds power by tricking the DME into adding boost. The DME does the rest by adding fuel to get it back to the correct AFR. It will increase ignition timing as necessary to meet the torque demand until it starts to pick up some type of issue such as knock. If you run too much ethanol (above roughly E30 with a JB4) you'll run out of fueling capacity and the DME will slam the boost shut. If you run too little ethanol with an aggressive JB4 map you'll get knock and the DME will kill ignition advance.

Regardless, you don't need a flex fuel kit with JB4 like you would a true flex fuel tune with ECUTEK on an unlocked DME. You could install an ethanol content sensor (fuel it kit) to see what your content is, but its certainly not required.

I've run JB4s on my Supra, G42 M240i, and now G82 M4C. All I do is add a few gallons of E to each tank. There are plenty of apps and charts that tell you how much to add to reach the desired mix.
Occasionally Ill do a reset tank of straight 93 to make sure I'm not getting too much E without noticing because I don't have a content sensor. Just remember to change to a less aggressive map for that tank or 2. I also have my JB4 app to auto log anytime I'm above 90% throttle and i check my logs pretty regularly to make sure all is well.

You cant run straight E85, but can do blends up to E30 or so depending on elevation and temperature. Highly recommend the JB4 on the G42. Adds a good amount of power for minimal investment. Really increases the top end on these cars. Obviously an actual flash tune would provide more power and be slightly safer, but JB4 does is a great device until OBD flashes come out.

If you're looking for absolute cutting edge performance and going to send your DME to FEMTO for unlock, id say you're in the wrong platform all together lol.

Get a dragy and post results. More indicative of performance increase over dyno anyways imo

Jb4

So I installed the jb4 put it on stage 1 but it feels weird the car itself on the gauges where it says hp and torque are both at 250 when I do pulls, but when there is not tune on it does it's normal numbers, I don't think the ecu likes the added boost and cuts power. What do you guys think?

The cars sport display screen (HP and TRQ) wont change. It's fake anyhow, your car doesnt have a built in dynamometer. By stage 1 I'm assuming you mean map 1. You should do a couple pulls and log it. You can set up the JB4 app to auto log anytime your pedal goes past a certain percent. I have mine set to 90, so any time I mash it, it does a log as long as my phone is connected and app is running. That is what will tell you how the car is reacting.

You should do pulls/logs with traction control off, otherwise that may be whats giving you issues if its pulling power.

the jb4 works by tricking the car into thinking its running stock. The stock gauges will not change.

You need to datalog and compare ECU boost vs actual boost
