The 50th Anniversay for BMW M is this year and per the U.S. pricing info EOP for the 50th emblems is 12/22. Meaning that after December, they will no longer be available as a factory option.

You may be correct stateside, but possibly not for other markets when talking 50th Anni badging. Aus car production starts early 23 and all cars will have the badging until end of March.

So, in terms of visuals alone, the top blade is blacked out and the bottom element is no longer gold. Correct?

To be clear, the packages don't mandate each other. There are three headlight options:

* Base
* Lighting Package
* Lighting Package + Shadowline

Personally I'm getting the Lighting Package w/o Shadowline because I want chrome tips and I don't have a preference on Shadowline vs Normal Lighting Package lights.

That is what I think as well:

* Base (non-adaptive w/ DRL consisting of only small horizontal line;
* Lighting Package (adaptive w/ DRL consisting of the full line and golden/bronze line; and
* Lighting Package + Shadowline (adaptive w/ DRL consisting of the full line w/o golden/bronze line.

So shadowline has no effect on rear taillights at all? I feel like some taillights are tinted some are not from different G42 pics I have seen, can anyone confirm that?

Let’s clarify once again. In the U.S. the Shadowline Package consist only of Shadowline Headlights and Black Exhaust Tips. The Shadowline Package in the U.S. requires the Lighting Package. Note, the interior of the exhaust tip is the actual the exhaust pipe which is raw steel. The tips appear to be affixed to each pipe (4) via two mounting screws.

One may upgrade the base headlight via the Lighting Package which upgrades the LED headlight, the DRL, and adds the Automatic Highbeam feature, which is more than just software.

Is U.S version non-shadowlight different than other country? The top portion of the headlight is still black in U.S version compared to silver in some of the photos that were uploaded few weeks ago.

The U.S. non-Shadowline is silver at the top. No clue where you got the idea that it is not? The screenshot below is from BMWUSA.com

I had put Shadowline package in my build, but now reconsidering. Especially if I stay with Alpine White and bi-color wheels. I’m thinking the chrome tips and little silver in the headlight might add some nice extra detail over just having more black.
