2022 M240i OTA Upgrade

Everything went smooth. After finishing and going out to check on the car I saw my kidneys opened for the first time. I want to find a way to keep them open

I give up on this upgrade and will probably have to take mine to the dealer.

It’s been stuck at 53% in the uploading from phone to car for 2+ driving hours. 0-53% only took about 10-15 minutes.

After my update, had to delete & re-register driver profile. The update didn't hang during download or installation.

Mine is done, ok except for climate control and driver profile needing to be reset, at least as discovered so far.

Keep it in sport / sport plus and they stay open.

I cruise in eco pro when not having fun or when commuting to work. Hopefully when bimmercode officially releases the G42, it'll be an option

Maybe because all ‘manuals and how-to’s’ I’ve read say speciffically you can NOT drive your car while updating. It has to be parked.

But I haven’t had to update myself, so I’m no expert. Just passing the info I read.

It's only the install that needs the car to be parked up for, the upload & preparation can be carried out while driving.

Maybe read my posts better instead of making a sarcastic response.

It's stuck on the uploading/preparing to car part, which is done while idling or driving. It doesn't even get to the install part.

Is the full upload in your phone? Apologies if you already covered this. If your phone contains the complete file, but not transmitting to the car, then it (obviously) sounds like a phone>car communication issue. You've probably already looked into that. Just trying to help.

After the update, and after putting my dash back to the "M" option with BimmerCode, it now says 3.0 CSL at the top. I'd prefer it to show nothing like it used to, but not the end of the world. I'm just not a fan of all the honeycomb shading with the default dash.

Maybe there's a way to code it out under advanced settings, but I don't know what I'm doing?

Full download was completed.

Same issue happens with a different phone. Unpaired/paired both phones.

Upload from phone to car always hangs indefinitely at 53%

I’ve reset and restarted idrive which made no difference.

Disconnected negative from battery for an hour, made no difference.

My car is a jerk.

how are you guys seeing the percentage? I was sitting in the car with in on for roughly 10 minutes and it just says "uploading" or something on the app. and I already downloaded it on my phone

In the car go to “car” settings, general settings, go all the way to the bottom and select remote software upgrade

I still get the M240i logo. You can choose the M startup animation in Bimmercode

It's VERY dark. I could barely see it.

Finally got the update to go through!!

Using a Wi-Fi only ipad was the ticket. No idea why two iPhones wouldn’t work and would stall out at 53% uploaded.

Whoa, you got upgraded to a CSL, free of charge! Your car is lighter and faster now. Don't code that out !!

When I first saw it I didn't even know what a 3.0 CSL was. I thought, "Isn't that a Mercedes?"

Since applying the update on my Idrive 7 Apple CarPlay has been non responsive when streaming/playing music. Not happening all the time, bit inconstant.
